I refurbished a very old desk for my granddaughter and needed to replace the lid damper so opted for this one.
The instructions are good but it does take a bit of thinking about as do all these devices.
The product is well made and and this is the only one that worked for me despite trying two other devices that didn’t.

Really good multi use stay. Used to lift a dolls house roof and keep it safely in place. Easy to fit and adjust. Dropped one star because it is quite bulky, width wise.
Very nearly a direct replacement for a broken original. The bracket in the cabinet is slightly longer, so the door would not completely close. I used the old bracket. Alternatively I guess you could reposition the new one.

Just what I needed to replace some old Huwil stays that wouldn't stay open any more. The old one popped out of the plastic and I just popped this one in and tightened the hex screw in the middle until it stayed open.

Great safety hinge for a trapdoor type board I’ve fitted. Easy to install and very sturdy.
Got this to control a cupboard flap door. Does the job well, but be prepared to search online for fitting instructions and adjusting it was a little bit of a fiddle, but all good in the end!
Didn’t use it. Used a gas strut instead with soft close hinges.
Got this as a stay for a substantial oak blanket box. Easy to fix but not strong enough to work on a heavy lid. Tightened it up to maximum strength and then when closed the lid, the arm simply bent. Took it off and straightened it, but it snapped in the process. Not as high quality as you would expect. Like everything that's cheap these days. Basically rubbish if you want something that's robust and heavy duty.
Great product: much more robust than the simple sliding stays that they replaced and the adjustable braking effect makes them much more grandchild proof. Rather spoiled however by having to root round t'interweb to find the fitting geometry.
