Great to have both options. Nice steady close. Worked well on bench seat lid.
The pistons are much too strong and when a cupboard door closes they have no effect on allowing the door to close. Even pushing the pistons by hand is really hard
Unfortunately the pistons are way too powerful for my 5’ kitchen cupboard. Unable to close door.
As others have said, hydraulics are far to strong, even positioned as far back as possible it still holds solid oak doors open. Perhaps using on the hinge side may yield better results?

Researched online and ordered. The order was ready for pickup within 10 minutes of placing order. When I picked up the order the assistant let me make sure the size of the pistons were the same as the broken one. Great service all round

These weren't soft closing as stated in catalogue. Even the staff member could not, push them in.
This reduces door slam. At furst the door sits slightly open until the hydraulics reduce slightly.
Not quite as smooth as damped hinges but great for the price, used on draws too
I should have read the other reviews. The pistons are incredibly stiff. The doors just bang into them and then they do not move, so the doors stay ajar. I can't imagine how these would ever be right for kitchen cabinets - the spring in the hinges would need to be strong enough to take your finger off!
I bought them to replace broken ones which were in the kitchen when we moved in. I'm going to return them and buy some sort of foam pads.
The damper is far too firm for most applications. I have now found other brands offer a range of dampening pressures, such as soft, medium and firm. These should state they are Firm.
These are to replace like for like hafele products which are worn out. They need a lot of pressure to work and cannot be adjusted, the kitchen doors with sprung hinges I am using them on will not close because of the amount of pressure needed, the original pistons worked perfectly. They are made by Hafele and I expect better from a company that I have worked with for many years. I have wasted my money and will be contacting hafele about this issue.
I had a broken cruciform ( piston housing). Bought these thinking I would replace the existing broken unit and then as future pistons wore out replace them with these new ones. Unfortunately the spring in the pistons is so strong they won’t allow the cabinet doors to close...total waste of money!
I’ve given them one star because the cruciform will accept a standard piston, allowing me to fit the old piston into the new cruciform.
Pistons very hard, you need a sprung-hinged door to make them work
simple to fit and good value although the piston is fairly stiff

These after market devices are easy to fit - but I had mixed success - from a pack of 10, 2 made no difference and the doors still slam shut but the others have had the desired effect

Got these to retrofit soft close into my kitchen. They work well on the cupboard doors. Note though these are hinge side closers so not suitable for drawers as they are too stiff. You will need different pistons for for the drawers
