Great little soft closure pistons. I was quite concerned about my choice as some reviews were very negative. Having bought them I am really pleased as they work perfectly. I can only assume the negative reviews were from people who hadn’t read the instructions and put the closures at the wrong side of the door. They must be on the hinge side!
Read many reviews. Chose these as seemed to suit my need. Not disappointed, had a trial run on garage cabinets, once confident quick fix on larder cabinet on new kitchen which didn't have soft close hinges. Works like a dream and cheaper than blum hinges.highly recommend.
Easy to fit, used them many times now. The rear end, where the piston plunger sits, could be stronger though, if you slam or throw the door too hard then the plunger will break out through the plastic sometimes.
These soft closers really take the BANG out of a kitchen—especially if you’ve got really rubbish hinges in your cabinets. I had to unscrew some of them to be able to fit this in the corner, but that’s an issue with my cabinets not these things. That said, the screws in these are terrible and didn’t bite into the cabinet wood (just MDF) whatsoever, so you might want to use your own, especially if self-tapping. I ended up lining the soft close thing up, punching a hole with the screw while it was in place, drilling a very small hole to expose the MDF, and then it went in quite easily. But that’s because the screws are clearly not self-tapping, and that’s why you’ll find yourself needing to do that bit yourself. I still can’t quite give five stars because the screws are of a low quality—doesn’t take much for the bit to skip and slip about, and I pray I won’t need to unscrew these one day because my patience was running low and I left some of them pretty much as smooth as a bowl with my impact driver. Probably should have done it by hand but where’s the fun in that? It does also mean that it doesn’t sound like a Typhoon breaking the sound barrier inside my kitchen when I forgot my cupboards weren’t soft close!
These are good and easy to fit, but there really needs to be a left and right handed version. You can put them in the top left corner and the bottom right corner. But the bottom is not always ideal. Had they been left adn right handed pairs I would have given them 5 stars. The adjustment is useful, but on some doors I had to move the door out 1 or 2 mm to get the door to close, easy to do, but perhaps a little more adjustment would make them simpler to adjust.
Simple to instal and a well made product that works as it is designed to.
These versatile cupboard door dampers work fine and are a simple one screw fit. They are a tad expensive for five, but worth it to stop those kitchen cupboard doors banging shut. I will buy again as I didn't get enough.
I love these and have brought a few packs over the years, great for cupboards but no good on drawers.
Easy to fit - one single screw holds them in place
Exact replacement for broken kitchen cupboard door closers
Great product, I was surprised how well they worked!
Works well and being adjustable is beneficial. Easy to fit
Be aware that the +/- adjustment does not alter the stiffness. It adjusts the buffer travel in or out to a different starting point for the damper. It is rather a stiff movement, and in the end was not suitable for my purposes (I made a mistake - I really should have bought a drawer 'soft -closer'). Nevertheless, I do think it could be a good product for some other different job.
Nice and easy to fit, worked well
Have tried other soft closers but this one fits the bill
They don’t work as a soft close, even with heavy doors. Tried the adjuster but the resistance is too great
