I used these because we have a problem with balls of moss rolling off part of the roof and clogging gutters. Fitted these and the problem seems fixed. There are no instructions but by trial and error I found the little lugs on the side just about fit a standard gutter and hold the panel on top. Where they did not quite do the job I used cable ties as others have done. We have had some strong winds and they have stayed in place. The connections holding them end to end need a good bit of pressure but seem to work. I pnly used cable ties at each end of a run
A useful product but was only securely fitted (and joined together reliably) with the significant use of cable ties. Some guidance as to fitting might have helped either printed in the pack or via the web.
Looks good not fitted properly yet but looking good thanks again Kieron
No instructions. Might appear obvious how to fit bits together in gutter but it is not.
Very happy with gutter guard, did the job ,easy to put together.
Look like they work a bit fiddly to retrofit as clips don't line up with existing gutter
Fixing to the gutter was awkward so ended up using ties.
Okay ! Fitted on a 112m half cut guttering , no direct information on how to install , lugs on either side didn’t know wether to bend one side in so it would sit tight ! Luckily the clips held in place
We do not have any trees nearby, and the roof is clean of moss, so the main culprit for blocked downpipes is local birds.
After purchasing the Gutter Guard, I conducted a test by installing it on one side of my house and leaving the other side as it was. Both gutters used to get blocked at more or less the same rate and had to be cleaned at least once per quarter.
Yesterday, during heavy rain, the side without the Gutter Guard began overflowing again, while the side with the Gutter Guard showed no signs of overflowing. I went up the ladder today to visually check the protected gutter and found it almost as clean as the day I installed the Gutter Guard.
I will most likely be buying the Gutter Guard for the rest of my gutters.
I gave considerable thought to the various options available as they all had advantages and disadvantages, before deciding on these. I made the right decision as I found these excellent! Other reviews said guards of this type were difficult to fit and the clips broke-off. Well these did not and worked well being very substantial as I expected because Toolstation always deal with good manufacturers. It does not pay to buy cheap products as they cost more in time and effort in the long run. However I was able to fit all mine from a pair of steps, I would not fancy doing them from a high ladder.
They protect gutter from falling leaves but just. There are no clips to lock them in place so depending on your guttering you may need to cut couple of holes to fix it
Keeping water butt clean and making a mucky job easier, gutter guard saves time and effort!
does what it says on the tin, put on gutters stop leaves excellent product
Looks to be good quality. Fitted to guttering on garage. However- there are no guidelines for installing. Manipulating, joining and fitting this was very fiddly. Take your time. I checked out other people's reviews for ideas, and then bent the lugs downwards for it to fit snuggly into the 112mm half round gutter and under the bracket clips to hold in place Phew!!
Very fiddly to fit could be a lot better. No advice on the best way to fit. These need to be made slightly wider so they sit better on the gutter. The rest bits need to be made stronger as a few managed to bend and almost break. I had to cut bits out where the gutter clips were to get it to sit flat. A further problem I had was that as my gutter was so close to the tiles I had to cut out more bits to get it under the tiles.
Got them not for gutted used them to stop birds on solar panels works as wanted them for
Brought some last year and very pleased they do the job, so brought more this year for the rear if my property. Easy to install and at a reasonable price.
Used to stop the moss getting into gutters and down pipes as 3 gutters ran into1 drop pipe. also put new down pipe in so now as 2 did a great job
Good quality product , does a great job at keeping the gutters clear of debris
Seem quite expensive for the quality, should do the job but are a bit flimsy and need to be careful not to break them when trying to fit together
