The Guhring No 17 is a professional 25-piece HSS drill bit set with titanium nitride coating, spanning 1.0mm to 13.0mm in 0.5mm increments. This German-engineered drill set delivers reliable performance for tradespeople working with ferrous metals and cast iron materials. Manufactured in Germany from quality German steel, these Type N DIN 338 straight shank twist drills feature a 118° point angle optimised for drilling steel, high alloyed steel, grey cast iron, spheroidal graphite iron and malleable cast iron. The TiN coating enhances wear resistance and reduces friction during drilling operations, extending tool life in demanding workshop and site environments. Each drill bit in the set maintains h8 tolerance standards and offers a machining depth of approximately 5 times the diameter. The right-hand cutting direction and ~5xD depth capacity make this set suitable for general metalworking applications, engineering workshops and maintenance tasks. While optimised for ferrous materials, the drills offer limited suitability for aluminium and other non-ferrous metals. The set is supplied in a protective case for organised storage and transport. Features and Benefits: • TiN coating provides enhanced wear resistance and extended tool life • Comprehensive 25-piece range covers frequent drilling requirements in 0.5mm increments • German manufacture ensures consistent quality and precision • 118° point angle optimised for ferrous metals and cast iron • Supplied in protective case for organised storage and job site transport Specifications: Diameter: 1.0mm - 13.0mm Increasing By: 0.5mm Pieces in Set: 25 Guhring Code No: 6.014 Optimal Suitability: Steel, High Alloyed Steel, Grey Cast Iron, Spheroidal Graphite Iron, Malleable Cast Iron Limited Suitability: Aluminium, other Non Ferrous Metals Tool Material: HSS Surface: TiN Cutting Direction: Right Machining Depth: ~5xD Standard: DIN338 Type: N Point Angle: 118° Tolerance: h8 Contents: Diameters 1.0mm to 13.0mm in 0.5mm increments (25 drill bits) Case
