Purchased to replace a failed (seized @ two year old) Salamander pump. The feed plumbing needed modification as the Grunfos pump is supplied with 22mm fittings whereas the Salamander had 15mm. The Gurndfos runs much quieter and switches on every time where the Salamander needed to be modified to enable it to switch on with water flow (Bad design Salamander)! Only been in use a few weeks so reliability is yet to be established, but it looks and feels and much better product.
This was a upgrade on a Salamander pump, which failed after only 9 uses and Salamander would not honour the Warranty. This is a vast improvement on the sound levels. The only real noise we can hear is in the bedroom directly next to the Airing Cupboard. Previous pump could be heard all over the house. Admittedly this was twice the price of the Salamander, so not that surprising that you would get a superior product.
Very happy all round with this purchase arrived when it should have, great service
