Grohe Ambi Mono Mixer Kitchen Tap

Good looking tap but has a slight wobble where the swivel spout connects to base. Plumber says it's because of a spring clip fitting rather than a screw. Assures me it will not leak. Also needed uk fittings which cost more so be aware.

I did my research on this product and Toolstation came out £80 cheaper

Bought one of these for customer approx 2 years ago and it leaked from where the levers joined the body so had to be replaced. Then another customer just last week wanted one so fitted it and again leaked from exact same place!!

Fitted a few months ago now. God quality but check the connections before you leave the store. They are different for hot and cold.

Nice tap but handles on opposing sides were not horizontal-clearly not made by Grohe

Typical heavy German design. Written instructions hidden at end of booklet, but unneeded
Fits press steel sinks 1 to 45mm and worktops up to 60mm, but a little wobbly on steel sink
All fixtures accessed below sink, except spout which can be 360°, 150°, or locked. You can change spout once fitted, but more difficult

Installation straight forward, tap works well with a nice action

Brought this to replace a similar type tap that was less than a month old for my newly fitted kitchen.
Did a bit of research prior to buying this tap, hopefully ensuring I was buying a better made and thus ensuring i did not get a repeat problem.
Although twice as much as the original tap, this tap is in my opinion is worth its money. It looks nice and it is well built. The swivel action of the swan neck is smooth without feeling loose. Both the hot and cold taps have a 90⁰ operating arc that gives a great control of the water flow without any spluttering.
Wished i had brought this originally but sometimes its not until things go wrong that you appreciate the value of things when you spend that bit more.
Would i buy again.

Seems a very good tap, smooth operation, no drips, good flow. Nice finish and looks good in situ. needed to alter some pipework as the length of the flexible connectors is different from the original. couple of pushfits and a 4inches of copper 15mm did the job.

Does not have a return valve so not suitable for all systems
