Not suitable for an outside light where you would want it to come on vua the timer. These switched are for boiler timer usage.

Working perfectly controlling an immersion heater. No noise and keeping good time. Manual override switch is rather small, and time segments tiny.
Does what its supposed to though, so I'm very happy.

I bought this timer to replace an old one of exactly the same sort, the old one has worked everyday for 12 years, I just hope this one will be as reliable

Bought one of these but had to return as the timer was so bad at keeping time. Replaced with digital version which is a lot better.
Recently purchased this timer and really pleased with it. It looks good and is so simple to set up. A nice touch is the ‘clock’ display on the front. So many timers have just an arrow or a line to show what time it’s set to making it difficult to determine.

Poor Product. Fails to keep correct time when set. What’s the the point of a timer that loses time and then fail to turn on and off at the correct set intervals. I decided to replace and invested in a Digital Timer that now keeps perfect time and function as expected. I do not recommend this product to anyone. Buy yourself a Digital Timer instead and save yourself a lot of grief.
I bought this as an Immersion Heater Timer to replace a digital model which had failed after 15 years. It was straightforward to install with clearly marked connections. Because of the position I wanted to fix it, this model with push/pull segments of 15 minutes was much easier to adjust than the digital timer was. There is a 3 position switch for Permanently ON, Permanently OFF or Timer. Good value for the price.
AVOID! This is a cheaply made product with inferior materials that are unlikely to last in a demanding setting - eg wiring a timer to an immersion heater. Difficult to fit owing to lack of space and cheap plastic components. I have had two in the last 3 years and both have burnt out, whereas my original timer lasted nearly 20 years! Unfortunately Toolstation do not sell any quality alternatives, so will have to look elsewhere, pay a bit more and hopefully get something built to last. AVOID!

Easy to install and to set timings and not expensive.
Pleasently surprised that this unit was an exact replacement for a very old greenbrook that failed recently. Even the electrical connections were in the same order so no fiddling around with the wiring
This is a 24 hour segment time - each segment representing 15minutes on/off period.
Nice quality build, fits to standard 29mm deep pattress box. Has four terminals live, load, neutral and an unconnected spare - useful for joining incoming and load earth protectionccables.
