Great product, once realised you use the cutter and the remover in the anticlockwise movement came out easy. Upcyclingbold furniture.
The Grabit screw and bolt remover has worked quite well, but always remember to use a drill bit to make a pilot hole, this will assist the remover to gain purchase.
I could not get this kit to work at all, despite closely following the instructions. It made no impression on the rusted steel screws that I was trying to remove - a waste of money
Ordering was a total shambles. I ordered on Friday for next day collection, from store, which said have been Monday. I got a text on Monday morning saying it was delay and implying it would be in later. Phoned "customer serviced' to be told I was number 14 in the queue, where I stayed for an eternity. Made getting hold of my GP look slick and responsive..... Customer services hadn't a clue where there delivery was. Went to the local branch who were also kept in the dark but we're just as frustrated as me with the chairs cause by the new wonder warehouse set up..... Part eventually got to the branch on Wednesday.....Lions supplied by donkeys....
This was a M5 X 10 bolt stuck in a difficult position, it is the gold coloured bolt second from the left on the choke slide in the photo before the fun started. I managed to get the tool to grip, but despite using slow speed and maximum torque, the clutch was slipping. I was worried that the tool, or the head might break if I applied more force. I resorted to using a hammer and punch to get it started (It took some hefty blows) and once I had it moving slightly, the extractor then worked well. A partial success.
This failed to make any impression on either of two brass hinge screws despite following the procedure described. The reamer end made slow progress and the extracting ends seemed blunt with insufficient cutting power and failed to grip. I had to drill out the heads, prise of the hinges and extract with pliers which I was going to do in the first place before wasting about £26.
Maybe a bit expensive but it works much better than the standard extractor kits.
i bought cheap, mid and this set. this set was superb which i kept the other 2 sets were returned
Does what it says, just need to go slow with adequate pressure.
Impressed, Removed 3 tight M4 CSK machine screws that were stripped on first attempt of removal by hand (not drill) because they were so tight. The Key I think is to OBEY the instructions! ... VERY SLOW and PRESS HARD. Don't look at the U-Tube reviews of similar tools where hey just pull the drill trigger in a similar way to how they strip the screws in the first place Would have been very expensive if I could not get them out, The Grabit is not cheap but it did the job and did no break.
Think the instructions and Trend Video could be better in regard to how to choose the best size.
Looks good quality. Unfortunately I could not fully test this set due to other complications.
I only used the burring side.
Had great expectations of Grabit as it was more costly than the other extractors, but was disappointed.
I did what the instructions said and used only very slow reverse settings on my drill, but it did not bite into the screw head to make a thread and extract the screw.
Good piece of kit, using the drill at a slow speed and it extracted the bolt without any fuss
