Seems a top quality product. I use it in my kitchen to play music, compile shopping list, pull up recipes , set timers and generally ask questions. (It's responses are far superior to the useless responses one gets from Alexa!) The Nest Hub also displays photos from my albums on its very bright screen. A great little tool at a good price.
Excellent display, quick to respond and clear. Sound is much better with second generation, quite punchy and better than a nest mini. Really pleased with it.

Good Points: Clarity of sound for the size of the unit is exceptionally good, deep bass tones and nice clear treble. Small enough that it doesn't take up to much room on work surfaces, such as the kitchen where we have ours. Nice modern minimal design. Easy to setup. Home control features are useful, we have heating, security, media and lights all setup through the Hub and it works quite well.
Bad Points: For our use it could be a little bigger, but Google do a larger option for that. The lack of onboard apps means having to stream from a phone, which isn't ideal, but does mean you can still use your phone for other things. Most of the info on the standard screens aren't of much use, you probabaly won't go further than the first or second page.

Item ordered without issue. Delivery - whole different ball game. Ordered on Saturday on next day delivery. Evri notified of delivery on Monday between 3.00 to 4.00pm then updated to 4.00 to 5.00pm then updated to next day. On Tuesday, no notification of expected delivery time and at the end of the day got a message to say Evri would message me next day i.e. Wednesday. This status did not change for four days and only after contacting Toolstation and Evri did I get an update. Evri delivered on Saturday - to the wrong person, at the wrong street address, in the wrong town. Toolstation were brilliant and arranged another Hub to be dispatched, unfortunately by Evri. This time they did manage to deliver it to the correct address and only two days late.
Good place to buy. Prompt delivery.

We mainly use this for showing family photos in our living room. We like the clock display in the corner and then the larger clock when the room is darker. Not used any of Netflix features or even music playing functions. Tempted to process another as a replacement bedside clock and use those sleep functions.
