The original scraper is a wonderful tool, it just feels right, and it scrapes to a nice smooth surface, cutting through all kinds of paint and contamination. I have not actually destroyed my first blade yet, but I wanted to be ready just in case. More expensive that a box-cutter blade, but SO much tougher.
Perfect for the job of scraping off the built up layers of paint on top of skirting boards no sanding would touch it it brought back memories of when I used to scrape off barnacles from my fathers boat they were called Barnacle scrapers in the days
It works. I used it to remove paint from wood. To make it even easier I used a heat gun
Very sharp straight out of the packet,but soon lost their edge, and, chinks appeared, ok for removing rough work but not so good at maintaining a smooth finish
Best blades I’ve found for the job in hand-great for cutting back old paint on railings. Used in the compatible Linbide scraper they could access everywhere I needed.
Carbide scraper blades good as any other but only fit certain holders there’s no standard fitment across the brands
