They're heavy duty enough, but despite being advertised as coming with heavy duty fixings, mine came with zero fixings at all.
They are machined weirdly so that when both the top and bottom caps are on tight, the back of the hinge binds against the fence post when in use, making it stiff to open. I had to chisel out a notch from the fence post to ensure free movement. They're on ok now, and I'm certain they'll last a long time, but it seems like a bit of a rookie design flaw, unless I'm missing something. Like fixings or instructions.
