Awesome item. Helped take the weight off a heavily hinged long garden gate, reducing stress on the hinges and makes opening the gate a breeze. Bigger item than I had anticipated but really effective. Needs wide headed screws to screw in place, and a bit tricky to put the screws in straight as the spring section blocks the screwdriver. Overall though really happy with this robust product, end result was way better than expected.
Works great, gives heavy gate stunning support, This is my third one of these the other two I have had for over 4 years with great results, they still work fine on my drive gates.
Not the best on concrete. Wheel binds on the frame a bit when opening across a rough surface. Also the amount of lift is only around 50mm and if you preload it to give you some support this only leaves 25mm. Ok if your drive is level but limited on a slight incline.
Just fitted a pair to large wooden gates seem quite strong, time will tell.
works ok but doesnt come with bolts. would have preferred the option of srewing it onto the gate rather than bolts
I’ve fitted this to my new wooden five bar field gate and it does the job perfectly. Great value and very pleased with the purchase.
Well made, good value and easy to fit. Installed successfully on an electric gate I extended to provide extra support for the additional weight. The spring soaked up the variations in the tarmac and gravel driveway surface. I compressed the spring about 80% during fixing because the closed position of the gate coincided with the smallest distance between the drive surface and bottom of the gate.
So easy to fit does the job , save problems in the future

Excelent value for money. Strong wheel and easy to fit, its the best one I've used to date.
I was very pleased with the product, l bolted it to a piece of timber and then screwed the timber to the back of the gate so there were no bolts showing at the front side to the gate
nice and robust - bit fiddly to fix but works very well now fixed
Great but of kit but not great on mud. Needs to be on solid ground.
Wheely good , ideal for over size gates where there is a large cantilever effect on the hinges due to the gates length. The addition of this takes the strain off both the hinges and the post. Easy to set at the right height as it allows for uneven ground
Effective and well made from good quality materials. I found it a little fiddly to fit as a result of the design, but overall pretty good.

Needs to be a more powerful spring for heavier gates.
The structure of the castor is reasonably robust but the spring is only sufficient for light gates. Also the offset between the wheel and gate is narrow so gets blocked by chippings. Would work best on a concrete/tar/brick drive.
Ok but can’t take a massive weight. Used on garden gate door weighing around 25-30kg and the spring was compressed pretty fast. I think for lightweight jobs it would be good
