Used this wire for repairing a damaged chain link fence and getting the tension back into it. Worked well, didn’t use it all as plenty on the real.
Ideal package of galvanised wire, from a professional team
It’s wire and it’s galvanised. I haven’t used it yet and it will probably be in the garage until I either find a use for it. Or chuck it out , or give it to a neighbour who’s always scrounging.
Great wire, strong but soft enough to bend and twist. Ideal for heavy paintings and mirrors!!
After discovering I had a Heron problem. I used this around the perimeter of my pond. It did what I needed it to do.
No fuss, straight in, cheerful staff, straight out! Just the job.
Great product at an excellent price. Very strong and great for hanging pictures with
It's wire, it's 1.6mm cross section, it's galvanised so it resists rusting. Toolstation offered the best price for it. Nothing more to be said, really.
Hand to have this wire. Installed gate ran out of saddle nails used this to secure fence to post .
Great stuff for mirrors and pictures, strong wire , can be used for many jobs, I would buy this again.
When you reach a point in your DIY journey where you’re excited about wire, you know you need other interests so I'm going to try and stay positive to convey the joy this wire is capable of providing.
I bought this 30-metre reel of galvanised 1.6mm wire to tie together steel rebar sheets for a shed base. If you’ve never had the joy of wrangling cold, unforgiving metal rods into a grid using equally cold, unforgiving metal wire, you’re missing out on the unique thrill of accidentally turning your fingers into origami.
But this wire? Oh, this wire delivered.
First, the basics: it’s wire. It’s 1.6mm thick. It’s 30 metres long. It’s galvanised—because plain old rust just isn’t in fashion any more. It comes on a reel, which is very convenient for pretending you're doing something far more technical than “twist and hope.”
Handling it feels like you’re taming a tiny, metallic snake. It’s got just the right balance of flexibility and stubbornness—bendable enough to work with, strong enough to hold rebar in place like a stern auntie on wedding seating arrangements.
Does it spark joy? No. But it does spark confidence that your cement base won't spontaneously crumble into a tragic patio omelette.
Was it fun? Not really. Was it useful? Absolutely. Would I recommend it? Yes—unless you're trying to knit a jumper, in which case I’d suggest a different aisle.
In conclusion: 10/10 for wiriness. Strong. Reliable. Galvanised and glorious. If wire had a dating profile, this one would be “low-maintenance, high-strength, excellent at keeping things together.” Frankly, it’s doing better than most of us.
Support for roses and pretty strong - held everything in place
Excellent no issues only tool required is wire snipper
Wire coiled tightly in convenient size for storage in wire holder, in my office drawer
Nothing wrong with this wire as far as I can see. Seem quite like other galvanized wire I have used.
Excellent and easily bent for the twist ends. Very good quality
Strong and flexible multi use wire. Resists coroding pretty well.
perfect for use around the garden , used to fix training wires to a fence
Strong and manageable wire. Soft enough for tying plant climbing frames together with a pair of steel fixers nips. Not too brittle so can be twisted tight. Recommended.
Used to tie raspberry canes to. I'm sure it will be fine but I maybe should have gone for bigger diameter wire.
