Seems fine, doesn't need much to cinch them tight the only thing you need to do is make sure you put the flow arrow the right way - which I didn't on with one of them.
solid and well made, it feels like it will last. Making up 48 word minimum!
Easy to fit in-line valve, nice and compact, good quality
Seems to do the job without restricting the flow too much on a utility sink mixer tap.
When installing, I wanted it to have flats on the cylindrical body to be able to grip to properly tighten up on the olives. The only option seemed to be to grip it with mole grips (big dislike) but I was fearful of crushing the body and preventing it from functioning correctly.
Used on the hot for a mixer tap, easy to fit, all working fine.
Flows one way and does the other way - just as a check valve should!
One-way value, does what it says it will do. Flow isn't heavily reduced and works well.
It’s a check valve and it works, what more do you want
Put just before the hot pipe to a mixer tap, significant drop in water flow. Put a second one in the incoming mains line, it is proving noisy when draw off by branch line to ensuite. Going to find a couple of full bore low pressure check valves from plumber's merchant as these 2 are not hacking it
Flow and arrow correct - tested by blowing. Bought to replace an existing very old one way valve on CH system which was noisy. Initially the new one worked and very quiet. Then became noisy again but not as bad as before. So there may be other factors contributing to the noise. Oh well, try again!
Seems to be doing the trick, preventing back flow from the cold to hot feeds.
Read the reviews that said the valves were assembled the wrong way around. Bought 4 and 1 of them was the wrong way round. Easy to check as you can blow through them. Spent 5 mins taking apart and assemble the correct way around. Not too bad but would have been a pain if I had not spotted the dodgy one. Thanks to the other reviewers it was all ok in the end, perhaps Toolstation can have a word with the supplier?
Bought this to replace one that had failed (same make). When I unwrapped it, I noticed that there was a pencil arrow mark on the valve body showing direction flow in the opposite direction to the arrow on the body?? Reading reviews, it seems this is common? Very poor quality control from the supplier. Come on Toolstation, you need to be on top of this!
Works well (so far) with low pressure gravity-fed hot water supply to kitchen tap. This one hasn't stuck yet. I bought it as a replacement for a similar valve from a different vendor but their's would stick several times a week, needing a whack to free it.
Valve assembled backwards had to strip and reset to match arrow
Used on all hot feeds to mixer taps to prevent backflow and water mixing.
First off the valve was assembled so the flow was in the opposite direction to the arrow on the body. I wish I had checked before fitting it. That said it now works fine so minus a star for making me turn it round
Work as advertised and essential when you have mixer taps
Perfect for the job what it says & fair on price..
