I bought this adaptor not knowing whether it would work to resolve an issue I had with a failed soil pipe socket connection which was leaking. The rubber seal in the socket of a 90° bend had perished but replacing it would have meant nightmare works to a concrete wall just to remove and replace it, so in a act of desperation I tried this adaptor and it has worked a treat giving me a really solid reliable connection. Yeh! I know it not what it's meant for but it has done the job. Rubber is thick and firm but nonetheless offers some flexibility not that I needed that and the jubilee clips are good quality and will likely outlive me!
