Ok for the price—not the best—blade blunt and chipped—so had to spend a while sharpening before use—not really what you expect buying a new tool—so as long as you don’t mind sharpening prior to use—-maybe consider something else !!

Cheap and cheerful handy for taking off sharp edges, and reducing profiles.
This spoke shave was a very competitive price and works well. It could do with being a little sharper so I’m going to get the blade onto the oil stone just to give it a better edge. It works fine as it is but really sharp tools are easier to work with.
I've not had chance to try this out yet but it sames to be a quality well built tool and should be handy item in the tool kit. Be good if Tool Station do a curved face one as well.
It really did the work that I needed doing. Trimmed the panel to the width quickly and without breaking sweat.
I was trying to take the sharp corners off some 4x1 planks of wood using a sander (I'm DIY not trade, stop laughing)
It was taking a long time so in my desperation I went looking at my 2nd home (Toolstation) and came across this tool, at this price I figured I'd give it a shot.
Man am I glad I did!
Grasp it by the two handles, drag it along the corner - boom, gone!
Sand it down a little, job done.
Couldn't have been more simple and more perfect. SO pleased, cheers Toolstation.

It just about did the job after much blade sharpening. The fixing plate (frog) couldn’t be fitted straight as the casting of the handle was asymmetrical - the blade did seem to stay reasonably straight despite this and I managed to shave down the garden fork handle which is what I bought it for.
Great tool to fine tune any imperfections prior to sanding. Easy to adjust and sharpen. Overall a satisfying tool to work with excellent results 👍👍👆
Needed quick to sort a sticking door. Worked straight from the box. Couldn't find my old one and it's an essential bit of kit. Great value, sharp blade, good shape to hold/use
Pretty happy with this spoke shave which was less than 10 pounds.does the job perfectly.
Bought this didn’t expect much for 8 quid but terrible and unsusable not returned it for the simple reason of it costing so little.
This is a fairly simple piece of equipment. Yet, Silverline managed to make a mess of it. Firstly, the blade guide slot is in the wrong place, you can’t adjust it. Secondly, the blade is blunt. I have a decent workshop, so I decided to alter the blade to make it work, it’s soft metal!!!!!! It won’t keep its edge for 5 minutes. A rubbish tool, not what I expect from Toolstation. If it was a more expensive tool I would have just returned it.

Really cheap tool but the blade is blunt fresh out of the factory. It does sharpen well, though. The thumbscrews were a bit off, but for the price you can't really complain. Ideal, provided youcan sharpen a blade.
Bought to finish a bow topped driveway gate. Job done!
The grind on the blade and sole of the spokeshave were very rough and the blade wasn't sharp enough to use out of the box. I had to regrind the back and bevel of the blade on a couple of grades of sandpaper on a flat surface then sharpen on diamond stones and hone on a leather strop with polishing compound before it would take a decent shaving. The sole of the body was very rough and not flat so also had to rework that on sandpaper. The slots that the adjusters sit in also are rough and tend to jam - haven't had time to refine those yet. I suppose you get what you pay for. After some refinement (fettling as Paul Sellers would say) it does perform okay but don't expect to take it out of the box and start shaping with it.
Cheap n cheerful. Does the - simple - job it was bought for, after a quick sharpen.

Ordered my spoke shave and received shortly afterwards an email confirming my order and then another informing me it was ready to collect. Was so pleased I could get on with using it within a short time of putting my order in.Brilliant.
