Solid and easy to install with instructions if needed. Not too big and simple design. Would recommend
I’m sure it will operate adequately as a fire alarm but the installation arrangement is not great. The cable connection requires cable terminations and associated box above ceiling level which might be acceptable for a recess spot light but lousy for the fire alarm since you end up with a huge hole above it compromising the fire rating of the ceiling. It’s totally unnecessary, the terminations could be made in the holster that the fire alarm clips into, like a pendant. Really wouldn’t recommend. Get a 10yr battery one instead.

Great smoke detector, very neat, used to replace DETA smoke detectors as exact same size, would recommend easy fix bases, made installation easier and quicker, bases matched my existing with regards screw fixing holes and 20mm hole for cable entry.

I bought these mains powered smoke detection alarms, to replace one's out of date ,they are easy to fit and come with battery back up, i eould recommend
Purchased two units to replace old wired and linked fire alarms , the wiring was straightforward matching the previously wired alarms .. two things to look out for is on this alarm are
1.. its power lead needs connection blocks to connect to the mains and link lead ..
2 its central connecting plug sticks out further than the base plate provided and so a hole needs to be big enough to push through the connection blocks and also clear the back of its own plug , approx about 1 inch dia centrally. There is an option to purchase an additional backing spacer which probably would allow the connections to lay flat against the ceiling ? But not sure , some reviews say it helps

Replacement for origanal alarms put in by house builder. Original alarms were out of date and battery damaged by a water leak. These worked on original mains power and link cable. Lower profe than those replaced.
This is a good looking and easy to fit unit (I bought the base unit to clip it to. Actually bought two. They look good and are loud!
Decent mains smoke alarm. Good value. Installed 2 linked ones at my mums house.
Fitted to replace two 20year old ones. Electrician who fitted them said they were a simple job as the wiring was already there. Used Fire Angel base plates as it saved making bigger holes in ceiling and they don't make a big difference to the appearance.
Needed a compatible smoke alarm - just what it said on the box👍
Although not Toolstation's fault, this is the second replacement I've needed for a new set installed 2 years ago. They begin to malfunction and won't stop beeping. But as they're wired in, I can't just easily replace with another brand.
