Bought because of brand reputation and compatible with F1 product . To deal wit minor seepage from rad valve
This stuff is magic, had a leak where a floor fitter had put a nail through a pipe that leaked 1.5-years later! This stuff plugged the leak temporary for 2-days until the plumber came out to replace the pipe.
After weeks of lifting floorboards, inspecting joints, valves etc listening for drips, and topping up the boiler twice a day, i gave the system two treatments of Fernox E4 and the leak has stopped, hopefully permanently. I would have preferred to find the leak but I have looked everywhere and the costs of professional tracing are very high. I'd recommend this to anyone with a small , persistent untraceable leak.
I used this in a central heating system because there must have a very small leak of the system I believe that it is on an isolating valve and it works. The pressure hasn’t dropped since I put the in.
Great product did what I wanted 😀.Filled into the towel rail and sealed a leak in the bed room.
I kept loosing pressure in my heating system. No visible sign so expect it's somewhere in my concreted floors. Added one bottle of this and after two weeks pressure is holding. It's now the 2nd year and pressure is still holding so very happy with this. I've bought another bottle to help a friend
Excellent service from Great Yarmouth Toolstation as always.
I have used this twice in a vented system first installed in 1973: once after a chemical flush and once again recently after replacing a radiator and some piping. On both occasions I introduced it via a magnetic filter housing and on both occasions it stopped the gurgling in the pipework within 24 hours. Subsequent air accumulation at the highest bleed point has been within that which can be expected in a vented system, so it seems to be a very effective solution for micro-leaks.
Did exactly as intended. We had a small weep on a compression fitting within 20 minutes; it had stopped. Fantastic product.
Did not use this as it was not suitable for oil filled electric heaters. My husband made the mistake of not reading the instructions properly
Online order collected the next day. Counter staff polite and friendly. Store very tidy
Works well, it removed the leak I had. I did not have to worry about pressure any more
Worked well to cure minor leak and loss of pressure
Excellent product sealed leak in minutes would recommend
Works well. Stopped small leak. Competatively priced
Keeped experiencing pressure drop in central heating combi boiler. Added F4 via radiator and fingers crossed, no problems since. Excellent product.
Had issues with boiler losing pressure ,several times over a week. Bought Fernox F4 from toolstation. Then closed off pressure on magtec opened it emptied it and placed Fernox in . Within a few hours job done . Its been two weeks with no further issues . Recommended.
We have 15 radiators on a combi boiler system. Three of the radiators have slight weeps coming from the shield lock valves, the leaks being around the nut / shaft area, the nuts couldn't be tightened any more and I'm not confident around draining down the whole system ( two of the leaks are downstairs). I had to make up a delivery system that involved drilling a blanking cap for the top of a radiator ( I had a spare) to accept a 7mm tube which was then attached to a funnel. The liquid is quite thick so I left it for a while, ran a little water into the funnel to wash out the worst of the liquid then job done. All leaks have sealed within an hour of turning on the CH.
In future I would purchase the other Fernox F4 that has the 'delivery system' built in but that's not Fernox's fault that I didn't know what I was doing 😉
Useless, will not recommend. Waste of time and money
Does as stated. .........
