Great product. Needs thorough mixing before applying but does a great job and better value than many alternatives.
Works a treat for repairing a leaky flat roof. Make sure you give it a good stir before use, but otherwise does exactly what it’s supposed to do
A great waterproofing product. I have used this product on three different surfaces and on each occasion it has performed as it says it should. All leaks have stopped and it is very easy to spread and apply subsequent coats. I tend to lean toward belt and braces approach to most jobs I take on.
5* single application to clean dry roof and no more leak. Worth noting that this alone isn't a long term solution. Needs 2 coats and some solar reflective paint on top. However can't fault the fact that it instantly solved the issue. Just need the weather to stay dry so I can apply that 2nd coat 😀
Went on well with brush and stopped leak instantly. Only time will tell how good it is but happy so far
Fantastic product, saved my shed tools! Even on a soaking shed roof. 2 coats and no more ingress of water. Glad I had a hasmat suit though!
bought to reassure myself that the tired roof felt on the shed was capable of doing the job
A+ so far
Excellent product, easy to use and does what it says on the tin.
Easy to use
Good thickness
Added fibres aid bonding
Painted on well - needs a good mix. So far still waterproof
Needs stirring a lot to get the fibres mixed. Goes on well with a 4" brush.
As described easy to apply brilliant finish definitely use again and also recommended to friend who also used and well happy with results
Amazing stuff , like others say stir it well before use , and even again during , I've painted a tiled roof canopy to make it fully waterproof ,
And looks good once dry
The product has a 24 month self life and the Devizes store tried to give me a tin that was manufactured in 2021 and the Feb 2024 Tim I did purchase had been stored on a cold floor and therefore its contents (the fibres) had gone hard in the bottom of the tin and were in-mixable. What makes it worse is he staff member put the original tin back for future sales.
The paint was quite solid so it took a lot of stirring. But went on well it gets everywhere. Its like liquid tar.
Simple Roof Repair Essential to sort out a leaking flat roof
This appears to be very good, but as others have said, it needs a very good stirring but once stirred properly it is very thick. I put the first coat on with a tar brush which applied it very good. The second coat I used a 4" fence brush, this applied the second coat a lot quicker and only took me half the time of the first coat
The instructions said wait 24 hrs before applying the second coat, which I did but the first coat was still a bit tacky.
I can`t fully judge it yet as it has not rained since I applied it to my flat roof that had a leak. Hence only 4 stars
Certainly done the job on my garage roof no more leaks!
As described, goes on easily, is bitumen with fibres. Thick but goes on easily. Get it warm before stirring with a long sturdy stick or you will struggle to get all the good stuff off the bottom of the tin. I wrapped a hot water bottle around the base, worked well.
Great product for the price. Just make sure to stir it well before use
