READ the very very small print! The discount voucher sent by tool station for £24 of my next shop (very large text) came at a very high cost in terms of a monthly subscription of £20!!
Got fed up with the cheap latches breaking so thought I’d replace them all with these. They’re a great improvement, only downside is that they need a larger hole than the cheapies. The strike plates with anti-rattle tabs are an unexpected bonus, not sure how I managed without these given the propensity for our solid wood doors to change shape according to the season.
I'd say the description of this being heavier duty is accurate and it certainly feels weightier and smoother than the cheaper latches. The other nice thing is getting the option of steel vs brass finishes.
The only problem I ran in to is how the plate that sits within the door isn't completely flat compared to most other latches, so I ended up making a bit of a dog's ear of chiselling out that extra bit. Something to be aware of if you're hoping for a straight swap.
I wanted a bolt through heavy sprung tube latch and the picture in the Toolstation brochure and online show the image for this latch with bolt through holes......but on getting the item it is NOT a bolt through latch and although the description doesnt say it is bolt through the Image clearly shows it as such............my fault for not going with the description and relying on the image....had to take it back and but alternatives..........not big problem but the image needs to change
Heavy sprung latches have sorted the problem of sticking latches. Would definitely recommend

Was sent incorrect latches, new order sent out same latches again. Waited 35+mins on phone ,agent that answered said he would cancel order and refund which never happened then went on chat to complain and they told me to phone back. I said I waited ages previous day so could they call me please. He then ended chat

Quality door latches, fed up of cheaper ones sticking so tried these, time will tell but they feel solid and far better quality. Also can change colour finish if required.
