Expensive for what you get but it is a quality bit of kit, not as difficult to fit as I thought. Surprisingly, even if you do not over-tighten the collar night, you can apply quite a bit of torque on the compression nut. No leaks so job done.
Replaced an old fitting that was leaking in a hot water tank.

As far as flanges go, this one is a beauty - used to upgrade shower feed from 15 to 22mm.

Does the job, not too difficult to fit, watch some videos of how to do it first though. Hardest bit is getting the old one off. It's annoying though you can't just buy the washers separately though as that was all that really needed replacing on mine, and part is quite expensive for what it is.

The essex flange is good method for adding an additional outlet to a hot water cylinder but i found the one used to fit the additional connection on my cylinder was a different size and this one could not be used so had to return it.

Used one of these for plumbing in a shower pump as there was no room for a Surrey flange, they’re a bit nerve racking putting them in but do the job perfectly, my local plumbing merchants didn’t have them in stock but amazingly Toolstation did, top marks.
Essex flange for hot water tank worked perfect after an initial tricky leak on the old one.
Good price and very easy to fit to a new uninstalled hot water cylinder. Fed all the internal parts of the Essex valve down the top entry immersion hole on a longer length of wire.
Bought this to replace a leaking existing unit as they sometimes impossible to remove with damaging them. Noticed the new one had a much thicker gasket but I still used sealing compound on it. dont forget to tie a piece of string to one end of the wire that holds the fitting in place or you will never get it out and will have to abandon it in the tank as I did
Easy and quick to fit. Not sure why the manufacturer feels the need to make 3 identical versions with the only difference being the temperature that the rubber washer can stand.
Replaced one that lasted 29 years feeding power shower, Rubber gaskets had perished. Does the job! Needs to be fitted carefully!!

Clear instructions and easy to install. Now I have a direct hot water feed to my shower pump.
Not the easiest way but by far the Best way for air free water supply to a pump.
This flange made my job really easy, a bit fiddley to install but works perfectly. Just follow the instructions to the letter. No leaks .!!
