It says on the website, that "Made of precision optical glass" and "Clear viewing lens" . All lenses are made of plastic, outside plastic lens were already scratched. Image is clear only on the centre of the lens. I would not recommend this product.
Very pleased with it ,gives a great field of view ,east to fit ,does requtre a bigger hole than usual 16 mm , toolstation desciption advertise it with optical glass lens but on packet it states plastic lens more a toolstation advert glich ,overall a good bit of kit for seeing whos at your door
The quality of this door viewer was better than cheaper models. The lens is plastic but the barrel is metal. However, it requires a 16mm hole to install, which is huge and not part of a standard drill bit kit. I was unwilling to purchase a16mm drill bit and drill such a large hole in my door for fear that I wouldn't be able to find another 16mm door viewer when this one wore out. So I returned it.
