Item was broken upon collection, the box had previously been opened and it appeared to be a returned product
Solid locking mechanism - require competent carpentry skills as both parts are rebated into the Door & Frame. Template supplied works with the backplate to the Latch - the rest has to be stenciled with the lock & keep in situe. Bit of a process to cut it in to a professional standard
Not happy at all. Advertising says 10 year guarantee but this is the 3rd lock in 6 years. The cheap internal alloy casting breaks and the lock does not work. Terrible but I need to keep the same design to avoid changing the door.
1st product bought, was used and bent so returned! The second product also used! This one was scuffed and the template had holes which showed it was another used item! I’m personally done with Toolstation.. they weren’t bothered and said thank for letting them know!!!? Anyway be aware they resell used products as new!
Poor quality for the price. ERA tries all tricks to avoid honouring warranty. I will never buy Era as i find Yale is much better.
Use these loads, quality isn't that great, threads normally have swarf in them, so you cant get the fixing screws in, internal handle always feels loose and the latch spring dont last very long,,,
This was a direct replacement for another ERA lock. Fitted perfectly and looks great.
Great product, very heavy and good quality. Might be a little bit pricey but it is worth it.
