Very good lock and worth the extra money over the standard locks available. Larger and tougher than standard, also key operated from inside meaning that whether you're in or out the latch cannot be operated by simply smashing glass and reaching in!
Bought this to replace a Yale ( Narrow 40mm wide) high security night latch that was 30 years old. It was still working fine, but the wrong colour for a new paint scheme.
Replacement was virtually the same size, just a couple of millimetres smaller in height.
The catch on the door frame did not have as many screw fitting ( 3 ) as opposed to (7) on the Yale lock, and there seemed to be more play on the 'neck collar' of the opening latch, whether or not this will make a difference in the long run only time will tell.
I did fit a long piece of brass plate ( easy to drill holes through, to match screw holes on the catch ) underneath the catch on the door frame to resist the catch splitting from the frame (if kicked in) a bit more, and used longer screws than supplied. Over kill on my behalf maybe.
Other than that I think the £30 odd pounds saving on the Yale product is worth it.
I should point out that the outside keyhole has a nice substantial pull latch fitted, ' I had bought a chrome collar surround pull' because I did not see one in the pictures.
Also recheck that you are buying the narrow version and not the regular version on the website as this is not particular evidential.
These locks are an excellent upgrade from a basic nightlatch.
However, the Toolstation details are wrong! All of the locks are listed as having a 40mm backset but only the "narrow" ones are 40mm, the "standard" ones are 60mm (the backset is the measurement from the edge of the door to the centre of the cylinder).
