Why I’ve never thought of getting a thumb turn for the front door I’ll never know. Gone are the days of desperately searching for a house key to unlock the front door from the inside when my wife has left to go to work for the day and has imprisoned me, forever doomed to use the back door to get out the house.

Very well engineered, easy to use and easy to fit. Reassuring to have the thumb turn if needed in an emergency exit from the house. Excellent service as always from the Carlisle staff, thankyou!
It's a very good lock, works well and easy enough to fit. The only negative is, if your lock is very close to the door frame, the edge of the thumb-turn catches on the frame if left in horizontal position by mistake and causes scratches. This should be a smooth rounded end, not a sharp shape.
Solid unit of a good quality. A few more keys would be nice, 3 is OK but I needed to get some cut, 5 would be ideal and the price could increase accordingly. The design of the thumbturn is a overly flared for my liking.

Needed to replace a lock on a front door for someone who had a "mad" ex not returning the door keys. What can I say. It done the job.

I found on taking it out of the box that the keys were very sticky on pushing in and pulling out so added a couple of drops of 3-1 oil into the barrel of the lock and after a few minutes it was fine. Straight forward to install.
