Easy to set up, rechargeable batteries are the way to go, may be a bit more to buy them, but you just recharge them when flat No need to buy any more for a few years.

Charges quickly, and the three coloured lights are really useful for spotting dud or partially discharged cells. My old Varta charger takes forever to charge, and when its light goes out the cells are still not fully charged. The Energiser charger went to the amber light on being given "fully charged" cells from the Varta charger and continued to charge them successfully. Very happy with it.
The charger does exactly what it says on the description with multi coloured lights to tell you when the battery is dead, part charged and fully charged. It even bleeps if one of the batteries are put in the wrong way. Doh!
