True enough 1st one fitted was not releasing straight out the box.
Fitted 2nd and it did work.

This fitting was a direct replacement for a similar device which had failed to operate properly due to wear and tear. It was easily fitted due to the screw holes being in the same place and just needed the 2 wires connecting. Excellent service, availability and fair price from Toolstation as usual.
Does exactly what you need for a very good price, it being ac and dc is a bonus.

Seems good value, but I have not had to use it yet, as I am keeping it as a spare. I note it is made in Spain, the same as my current lock, but it does not have the option of leaving the release unblocked if one has to go in and out several times. My current lock has that facility, but turning a screw on the side a quarter turn.
