Use as strimmer and brush-cutter for autumn clear up of local wild flower meadow and Community Nature Reserve. Strimmer good for coarse grass and thinner stems, brush-cutter for thicker and tougher ones like hemp agrimony and bramble. Changeover between modes fairly straightforward, but have found it easier to do this in workshop and keep parts there. Fairly long and total length not adjustable, so for routine maintenance of the grass paths use a simpler, dedicated strimmer. Not lightweight and the harness is necessary and very effective. As on foot to locations have adapted a shopping trolley to carry the equipment, which is quick to assemble once there. Have found two 4Ah batteries fine for intermittent use over a 2h session. Would recommend.

I have only used the cutting blade, not the line, but I am very pleased with the result. I have a 60x100 foot allotment where the weeds had taken over to such an extent that I needed a powerful tool to clear them, and this did the job, cutting through docks, scrub and thistles up to 1 inch thick with no trouble. Plenty of battery life: I got tired after an hour and had to stop but the machine was still going. Things I like: batteries interchangeable between other Einhell products and lots of spare parts available, so it should keep going for a long time. Things which might benefit from improvement: the safety button on the handle is too close to the trigger so the machine may start accidentally when you grasp the handle. Harness strength and flexibility could be improved: some of the stitching gave way after only half an hour. Because of its size, machine is difficult to manouever in small spaces such as between raised beds. This is not a criticism, but just bear in mind that if you need to do this, you may need a different tool for the job.

Machine operates smoothly and cuts grass and tough weeds easily. So much more reliable engine than the petrol brushcutter. One star deducted as delivered in retail packaging, which failed in transit so Parcelforce had to reseal and tape it.
Een fijn apparaat om mee te werken. Je doe ook lang met de batterijen. Het enige nadeel is de plastic kap onder bij de motor. Deze is zo kapot. Kan niet tegen de steenslag. Heb deze vervangen door een Ijzeren kap.

Fijne bosmaaier vooral dat het geleverd word met een harnas. Het is alleen niet gemaakt voor linkshandige zoals mij, die extreem linkshandig is.
Prima bosmaaier, zeer geschikt voor gebruik met mes en draadspoel, niet geschikt voor 9nkruidborstel.

Was worried it would not be able to compete with a petrol brush cutter but this is a real beast of a machine and cleared a large area of scrubland in no time. Very pleased.

Great product, plenty of power to tackle our land needs instead of a nosier, more traditional,petrol option. So far its tackled all the jobs we needed around our newly-purchased smallholding in Carmarthenshire, Wales, UK, including where undergrowth had been left untamed for some time by previous owners.

just let down slightly with the build quality and cost of replacement parts. 2 x 4 a batteries last well for continuous use for a decent time (can do edges of a good size lawn several times over). I tried a 2 string spool on it and makes it a little better at cutting thicker stuff but I Guess will take use more power?¿ The comparison with a petrol strimmer is 1, less noise. 2, no fumes. 3, no/little heat. 4, no smell of fuel. 5, no fuel..... 6, no running out of fuel half way through a job (but yes, you might run out of battery power but in the time it'll take to go to the petrol station and back the 2 batteries will be at least half charged.
I had a few difficulties putting it together, but now am used to it. It is quite light, but then it is small with a fairly small blade. I have not used the line yet, and expect to use it only a little. The blade cuts OK.The motor is quiet. The poorest thing is the left hand handle is too far to the middle making it difficult to hold properly and keep pessure on the motor handle.
Ik heb de accu bosmaaier nu een maand in gebruik en hij bevalt erg goed. Slim ontwerp en mooi uitgevoerd. Mijn enige punt van discussie zou de beschermkap zijn: deze is erg handig uitgevoerd om precies tussen obstakels, zoals bomen, te maaien, maar voor grote oppervlakken met al langer en stevig gras en onkruid zou ik de diameter graag groter gehad hebben. De draad kan dan langer zijn zodat de breedte van het maaioppervlak groter is en tevens de omtreksnelheid van de draad groter wat in een krachtiger slag resulteert. Zonder de beschermkap en met de draad verlengd kon ik dan twee maal sneller maaien.
Met wekelijks bijhouden speelt dit niet en is het een erg prettige maaier die erg stil is en handig in gebruik vergeleken met een benzine of met een 220 Volt maaier.
