Nice sander. I particularly like the dual handles. The motor is rather an ozone generator: some drills have a built in torch, this doesn’t need one with the amount or arcing from the brush gear!
Perfect for the job but didn’t collect the dust though ! However value for money.
Works as it should, with good performance, but makes a lot of dust even if using a vacuum and is slight big and heavy to operate
Very goood for value sander that has a double handle to make the sanding easier.
Did a alright job I used this for sanding my walls, feel like it wasn’t as powerful as my older model which was a wicks own brand
Great sander that has a handle so you have better control. Seems a lot of the later versions of other sanders in this price bracket have done away with the second handle so I was more than happy to find this one. Varying speeds is a great touch as is the long cable. Great sander at a great price.
Wrote this to Einhell after using the machine once. I've taken a video also and sent it to them. Will await a response and update this review.
Dear Einhell,
I recently purchased the TE-RS 40 E from Toolstation a few days ago.
You will see in the video that upon making contact with the surface, nearly all of its rotational speed is stopped and pretty much just left with a vibration. This is with almost no pressure on the machine at all. I assume this is not expected as the material removal comes mainly from the rotary action?
Worked well, when maintaining a gentle pressure; achieved a good finish, prior to re-oiling the work surface.
Great valve for money only little down side is the pads don’t stay on for much more then 10 mins of sanding
Not enough power, pads come off after minutes. Found it quicker to sand by hand
Very good sander, the extension handle allows you to keep even pressure on object being sanded. Would recommend this sander, but have deducted a star as it still throws of a lot of dust. This seems to be a major issue with all the sanders I've tried irrespective of claimed dust collection. Excellent value , great performance but not perfect.
Seems sturdy & does the job. A good choice for the money.
Great value and works as well as the more expensive brands.
Have other Einhell tools and assumed that this would be good quality too. It struggled to keep sanding discs attached and when they did stay attached, the machine would not take any pressure and stopped rotating. Returned it.
value for money DA, adjustable speed & fairly light
This is a poor performing tool. It is almost impossible to keep the sanding discs on the machine due to poor design. It was so bad that I returned the product and upgraded to something better.
Yeah not too bad, if the pads stayed on longer it would be good and the dust extraction box is pointless...I hooked up a vacuum directly from the outlet and it works good.
Great tool and the extra handle makes it very easy to hold
12,000-24,000 rpm theres no chance it spins that much. Had high hopes for this product as i jave various other tools from this manufacturer, but this sander is a big let down even on MAX theres no way it does that sort or speed. My old one that burnt out from a different brand and tool seller worked for 8 years before it burned out and was cheaper and a lot lot better. It took 3hrs to sand with 80grit sandpaper two scaffold boards, where my old one would have done it in about an hour.
A really powerful sander that left a beautifully smooth finish. Bought for sanding a couple of internal doors and window ledges and absolutely blasted through years of old paint. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
