This is a well made unit, with a nice comfortable design and comes with a high count blade as standard for clean cuts - unlike others. There is no issues with the performance or quality of cutting. It performs very well paired with the Evolution G2 tracks.
Noise levels are fine, but the supplied blade can sometimes make a 'ringing' noise which continues after stopping. Might annoy some folks. A different blade solves this - and you might want a higher tooth blade anyway.
Areas for improvement:
The depth cutting measurement guide is not accurate so double check before cutting ideally.
It looks the part! But I haven’t had a chance to use it yet ,
In 10 words or less, a truly professional product, at a budget friendly price.
супер е доволен съм..................................................
Excellent budget plunge saw. Cut 40mm solid wood worktops for kitchen with ease. Also cut out for hob. Depth gauge a little fiddly to adjust but not a deal breaker. Happy with purchase
Got it to work straight away. It is perfect for cutting panels when used with the guide rails and in a matter of a few hours I have converted an 8' x 4' MDF panel into a fitted wardrobe.
I am most pleased.
Toolstation as usual were excellent in customer service and deserve top marks.
Good saw cheap and cheerful. Clean cuts good pricing
The rails do not align with the saw which is very disappointing. It means the rail has a jagged edge due to misalignment of the blade
Bought this plunge saw for a later project so it has not been use yet, the build of the tool seems fine so hopefully it will do the job it will be intended to do in te future.
Saw replacement for a new one from Wicks which was returned to Einhell. This saw was perfect out the box.
I know this is just-above-entry-level price point, but the tool was faulty out of the box - initial inspection looked ok, tweaked the fit to the evolution G2 tracks I've got ready to trim the splinter guard to suit the new saw, no issues there, checked with a good square that the sole was 90deg to the blade but could not get it to cut either straight OR square. Eventually determined the sole plate was bent meaning the thing meandered on the track and the blade would be at an angle. There is no fix for this, returned for a refund - the guys in branch were great and there was no trouble over this. However I'm out of pocket for 3m of splinter guard ruined by the saw.
Flawless tool! Finally got my hands on one, and I couldn't be happier. It cuts with precision—perfect for laminate flooring and resizing cabinet doors effortlessly using the Einhell circular plunge saw. Plunge saws are excellent for straight cuts and bevel cutting, making them incredibly versatile.
I used this saw at the weekend to cut down some worktops, I have a Festool plunge saw and this performed just as well on a fraction of the budget, ok you don’t get a cool carry case but that doesn’t take anything away from its performance, it has a long power cable which was great.
OK for the first couple of uses, then started to cut off-line. The spindle turning the blade is either weak, and has bent, or has quickly become loose from the motor. I suspect the former as it cuts very consistently off-line, without vibration. The blade does not turn parallel to the rest of the saw, points outward at the front, and so much so, has started cutting the housing which it should be well away from.
Great value for money, did the job I needed, which was reducing height of skirtings. Had to buy the rail separately
Used this to trim doors with straight edge with ease… Well worth the money…..
gear wheel too weak. When i saw 1200 w i think for my job will be best. But end of the day doesn't look right.
Bought this to replace my previous small portable circular saw which had done me sterling service over many years. Considering its very affordable price this is a very solid, well made piece of kit. Even without the accompanying track, which wasn't in stock at the time of purchase, it is easy to make perfect straight cuts just with a simple fence clamped to the work piece. The 48 tooth blade makes easy work of sheet materials and the 1200w motor seems to have no problem with softwoods up to its maximum depth of cut. I haven't had the opportunity to try it out on any hardwood yet but, as long as the correct blade is used, I see no reason why this wouldn't give equally pleasing results.
I look forward to using this saw for a long, long time
Being an fair to moderately experienced DIY’r and the little time I have owned the saw, along with its associated track, I have found the handling and performance excellent. Dust collection is adequate, that may be improved with a suitable cover for the blade access point.
