Brilliant product and the grip that is achieved is second to none
Goes on nice and watery ,dries quickly like sand paper
Sticks well to the back of slabs, easy to apply, so far has set in concrete perfectly but of course we won't know for a while if it prevents white blooms coming through. So far so good though
This primer is a must for any project, does what you need it to do. Fantastic product, great price, gives perfect results!
great product. perfect for tilling over tile. would recomend
I used Eco Prim Grip Plus 5kg to prep my floor before laying new tiles. After lifting very old tiles that were basically glued down with a rubbery adhesive, the subfloor was a mess—smooth, patchy and hard to key. This primer was a lifesaver. It rolled on evenly, the gritty texture grabbed onto the cleaned surface, and it gave my tile adhesive a rock-solid bite. Dry time was sensible and odour was very low.
Tips from my job: scrape and degrease as much of the rubber residue as you can, then stir the tub well so the grit is consistent. I used a medium-pile roller and a brush for edges; coverage was better than expected. Once cured, adhesion felt confident and there’s been no lifting or hollow spots. For floors with stubborn old adhesive, this primer makes the difference. Would definitely buy again.
Excellent product , dose what it’s supposed to perfect for what I needed
Had to self level a lot of floors in the house with the 3240 Renovation screed. Reading online it's critical you use the correct primer so this was one of the best choices and Toolstation stock it. It's quite thick so doesn't go as far as you think, one tub did a 3x2m room and a bit less in the hallway so I may use 3-4 tubs. So works out pretty expensive but it is good stuff. When you open it it's only 2/3 full so thought someone may of returned it, but the 2nd tub was the same so that's how it comes. Application with a brush and roller is easy enough but takes some effort as each roller doesn't go far at all. Dries pretty quick and leaves a dark grey sandy surface on any material. It's water based to cleans up easy enough. One tip is don't let it dry on skirting boards as it's hard to remove, use a wet cloth before it dries.
Good easy to use primer. Worked well on worn concrete garage floor as primer and bonding for screed
Used this to prime old tiles before tiling over, easy to apply with brush or roller, done the job perfectly, would recommend this product,
Great product easy to use , laid down with roller, good coverage
I’ve been using EcoPrim for years for my bathroom refurbishments. Great product.
Good grip ised for my amtico good quality and easy to use.just follow instructions or let a proffesional do it.
I've never used this before and was pleasantly surprised. Applied it to matt ceramic tiles to tile over with large porcelain tiles.
I'd recommend 2 coats of grip plus and I applied adhesive to the new tiles not to wall as it my trowel scraped some grip plus off.
Simple and easy to use. Looks great when finished and has shown no signs or ware yet.
Good Product, as described, easy to use and dries quickly
Excellent product with great coverage and does the job
Very good stuff i recomand for everyone to use on low profile underfloor heating boards before tiling
Excellent product to us before having our tiled floor done and took away all the sticky.
Really good product, pretty runny and can splatter things around so be careful, however adding grip layer quality is simply extraordinary, I used it on floor prior self leveling compound and walls prior tiling. Great product, leaves grainy/coarse sand paper like finish.
