Easy to fit, no issues in installation, seat smooth with no sharp edges, certainly don't want any surprises. As it's moulded wooden, unlike plastic, it is more pleasant/warmer to sit on with an overall better experience than compared to a standard issue plastic. The ability to lift the seat up, with ease, and rapidly in emergency situations is, I think, an essential operational aspect of the seat function. However, one has always to be careful when lowering so as not to loose control, as we are all aware, anything could happen. Regrettably unable to fully test prior to purchase, but certainly worth a good 5 stars.

As toilet seats go this is a nice one being wooden rather than plastic. Much smarter than the plastic one it replaced. Pleased to see the bolts for fixing it to the toilet pan are metal, not plastic. Some care and patience needed to set up the bolt spacing to line up with the pan, and also get the seat forward enough so that both the lid and the seat remain up when lifted. Overall, happy with the quality, aesthetics and functionality for the price plus 3yr guarantee if anything goes wrong
