Quite brittle, fingers easily broke off although do the job..
Its early days but it looks like a good product.
Time will tell if the birds can defeat it but I reckon they won't enjoy being eye poked by it and will move on to next door
I bought this to use a deterrent for roosting wood pigeons in my garden. They were roosting on top of a gate and also an adjacent trellis panel. So far so good . Easy to install but you will need 6 small screws (not included) to secure each metre long length. Easy to cut to shorter lengths. Looks neat and tidy , colour is black, light and flexible. A quick effective and cheap way to deter wood pigeons and their mess .
I used these to stop sparrows nesting under the roof tiles. The house builders forgot to fit them in some areas. They are 1 metre long and are nailed so the tines face up and forwards. I used tower scaffolding to get access and removed the bottom edge row of roof tiles.
A couple of very large pigeons took to perching on the pergola and making rather a large and nasty mess below. Found these to be the cheapest per metre to stop the birds from perching. It is working and the birds look very grumpy but must be going somewhere else as there is no longer a mess. Easy to fit into wood and they are fairly easy on the eye.
Simple interlock maintains comb spacing - no gaps at joints
Easily fixed to wooden fascias to replace existing perished combs. Having used these over a period of years, I have not noticed any ingress of birds or rodents, although I did replace one area with wire mesh, just to be on the safe side.
Used this to keep wasps and hornets from crawling in windows locked on the vent position. It's a bit chunky for that but it has worked.
Very good. Does the Job. Easy to install. Effective
Did the job, stopped birds nesting in roof, awkward to secure because of lack of space to use a hammer in eaves.
Not the greatest comb filler. Thinner/more brittle than I’d like
Used as bird deterrent by fixing to top of wooden fence to prevent birds sitting on top of fence, keeps bird poo of off fence.
Great product, deforms to fill the space under the tiles. Guttering does have to be removed in order to screw it to top of the soffit, then replaced. Great result when done.
Very useful flexible comb that will fill any space.
Solved a massive problem of birds nesting and penetrating my roof. Destroying my felt and causing huge amounts of problem not to mention the lack of sleep them rattling around in my roof space.
Seeed good value/cheap compared to alternatives though unlike other ones i have used eleswhere these do not have a little raised ring under the nail holes (so that any water getting ont the felt can drain under it). important to nail every hole and not skip any otherwise will twist out of place easily under weight of tiles.
Very strong product easy to fit. Had them fitted for 2weeks and the bird problem has completely resolved
These comb fillers worked well. They were straightforward to fit by simply using the weight of the tiles to hold them in place, and they feel surprisingly strong when in place.
Fitted to the eaves to prevent nesting birds damaging the roofing felt. Easy to fix using the predrilled holes and seems a strong barrier. I’ll have to wait until next spring to see how effective it is. Good you can buy exactly the number you need from Toolstation instead of having to buy packs of 10 or 20 at a time as is the case from other suppliers.
Does the job OK, Needed to cut off some spikes where the tile-valley was but found it too easy to chip off one or two too many spikes leaving a bit more of a gap than I would have liked in a few places. Maybe try cutting off with side-cutters rather than a knife to avoid this.
