Cable comes off and loads back in the reel smoothly. Does the job, for the money its great.

Good item, a decent quality 50m "wander lead" perhaps not as robust as some, but then at its price point I consider it excellent value for money.
It only missed out on 5 stars because:
a) I've only used it a couple of times, so longevity isn't tested. and
b) the crocodile clip isn't the best quality, albeit probably sufficient
Great lead easy to use and well built with tje added bonus of being cheap
I've used the SMJ earth testing cable reel on a few jobs now and really happy with it. Get good connection with my MFT tester and easy to unwind and wind back up.
Quality test kit, easy to roll and unroll, very low resistance. Use it regularly with no issues.
Has made life so much easier when testing at a distance.

An essential bit of kit for r1+r2 tests, easy to use crocodile clamp stays in place on the cpc. With just a little bit of care the 50m cable returns to the drum. Great also for cpc continuity when the customer wants plastic face plates replaced with metal plates.
