Great opacity and brilliant white undercoat finish
Well pleased with the cover only used one coat over old paint
I never knew you could get undercoat coloured to match the main paint! I was changing the colour quite a lot and this probably saved me a coat.
Peeped wood and applied a coat of this, it didn’t dry evenly but I don’t see why it would need to as just a base. Hopefully I’ve got that right! With 2 coats of gloss on top it now looks lovely.
Proper undercoat, unlike some. Very pleased and have used for decades! Being oil based it's superior to water based products.
good honest high quality paint, reasonable price at Toolstation
Use this as it matches the other paints i use so didnt want to mix n match
Good paint with good coverage but needs plenty of ventilation during and afterwards because of solvent fumes
Having worked as a decorator previously, I know from experience that Dulux coats whatever you are painting extremely well. Yeah, it's probably more expensive, though I find you get what you pay for
I always use Dulux oil based undercoat externally. It sticks well, covers well and give the gloss paint a good base to look good. The only problem I had buying it was that in Tool station catalogue it was about £3 cheaper than when I got to the till. I was informed that's because they can put the price up on line immediately, where as it take 4 months for the catalogues to get printed. Why not wait for the catalogue to come out then put the on line price up?
Great undercoat, goes on easy and coverage is good.
Quality product, good coverage and easy to apply provides good base for gloss
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent quality, thick paint and reasonable priced.
Required 3-4 coats to get an even effect. And final coat is nowhere near dry 16 hours later.
I’ve tried numerous water based undercoats but sadly none have particularly good coverage, often requiring 3 or 4 coats on darker surfaces. This Dulux solvent-based undercoat goes on much better and does a decent job of covering on darker surfaces with just 2 coats.
On the downside it takes much longer to try between coats and brushes need to be cleaned with white spirit or brush cleaner.
Quality paint that has good coverage and opacity. Dries well too.
The worst Dulux trade ever experienced. Far too thick, I could stand brush in paint before mixing. Unable to layoff brush marks. Will power sand when dry and try again.
I always use Dulux trade undercoat and trade gloss to give a perfect smooth finish
Used previously so know what I'm getting. Prefer solvent based to water based paints.
A very good undercoat, a bit pricey, but probably the best available.
Lovely undercoat : sticks to anything and covers up well
