Like the majority of oil based paints this item no longer has the covering performance it used to have. It is still whiter than Dulux Once Satin. Shame it happens.
recently picked up a 2.5L tin of Dulux Trade Satinwood from Toolstation for a bathroom refresh, and the results are stellar. Unlike retail versions, the "Trade" formula offers superior opacity; it covered my skirting boards and door frames in just two coats.
The Pure Brilliant White finish is crisp and clean, providing a subtle sheen that isn't as harsh as gloss but far more durable than eggshell. It handled the bathroom’s humidity perfectly, leveling out beautifully without many brush marks. For a professional, hard-wearing finish that stays white, this is worth every penny.
Best coverage for oil based satinwood on the market by far
Good quality paint used this product many times 👍👍
After shopping around toolstation proved once again to be best value for money
I found the staff were knowledgeable and Friendly well Done
Excellent paint - easy to apply by brush and roller and gives a superb finish. Very tough. Oil based, so a bit more of a faff to clean up.
So good, but the solvent one not the water based one, the solvent one works like Gloss always has, it goes on easily settles nicely and lasts well, the colour stays strong without much yellowing over time,
Great colour match achieved to required reference.
The best satin finish if you want it to last ,unfortunately the waterbase alliterative is just not in the same league for a long-term finish.
Poor coverage, needs several coats despite using primer
I had 2.5 ltrs mixed locally on 1st Oct. Stirred thouroughly, bringing up sediment from base of tin.
Applied on 1st October and no sign of drying/ curing by end of 2nd October.
Thus is a trade job and I'm starting to panic. Plenty of ventilation, what is going on?
Excellent paint, I was a painter & decorator for many years, people stating this paint sags & leaves lines, really do not know how to use it. With all due respect to eco water based paints, you never get a quality finish as you have no wet edge to work with, as it literally dries too quick, this solvent based paint may take longer to dry, but you get a much better finish.
Duplex Satin Wood Paint offers a smooth, durable finish with excellent coverage. It dries quickly, leaving a subtle sheen that enhances interiors. Resistant to scuffs and easy to clean, it’s ideal for woodwork. The application is effortless, producing professional results. Reliable, long-lasting, and stylish, it’s highly recommended.
Excellent coverage and finish and very competitively priced
I always buy this as I love the classy finish it gives
A good covering paint, excellent finish and goes a long way for your money
Dulux Trade paints are best by test so every painter + decorator can be confident in the knowledge that whatever Dulux Trade paint they use, it will do the job its required to do - brilliant product for domestic decorating.
Best paint to buy when you want to paint your woodwork.
Great paint with excellent coverage. Far better price than Dulux Decorator Centre as well!
When first opened I was a little worried by coverage when using a roller on doors, but soon thicked up to provide excellent coverage and finish. I'd recommend to stir regularly during use.
