Previous posters have commented that these hangers are too narrow and they have had to trim their joists to fit. They are actually the perfect size for use with pre treated outdoor planed timber which comes in a standard 45mm width. Made from pre galvanised plate, powder coated after manufacture they are perfect for outdoor projects.

Stronger than usual, good for attaching to walls. Check jaw gap before fitting.
High quality product. Thick steel with quality powder coating. Such a shame that the 47mm is the EXTERNAL measurement and each joist needed 2-3mm shaved off to allow it to fit. Genuinely can't understand why the manufacturer hasn't rectified this basic error. Toolstation, get on to them please!!
