Good quality part well made, easy to fit and tighten to a 75 x 75 post,provided a permanent repair to my damaged fence, and wzs in stock at my local toolstation exactly when i needed it .
Loose nuts at delivery. The nuts on these posts are delivered loose. One nut came off during my 5 minutes drive home, I found it in the car. Again during installation one of the nuts fell off. Everything is okay when installed and I am pleased with the result
Spike was just what I needed. fitting was simple with an old section of fence post used as a driver and 5 pound mallet. I was especially pleased regarding the quality of it ie the general finish and the protective coating was quality.
After reading some of the reviews, it was with some trepidation that I ordered this item to carry out a repair to a trellis. I required a short spike, not one of the longer ones, which have proved brilliant in the past. No need to have worried!
The item had clearly been on the shelf for some time, as it was covered in dust when I picked it up on the convenient 'click and collect'.
Although the spike is offset, it drove in easily and straight, requiring just a little pressure to keep it square and not twisting.
My only negative comment is: I had to add washers to each clamping bolt to prevent the nut digging into the spike.
Easy fix, stable result, quick and easy install. Second time used and same really satisying outcome.

This was a quick solution for dealing with a concreted in wooden post that had rotted off in the ground. Needed a sledge hammer to drive it in but very satisfactory repair.
Great product that saves a lot of time reusing the original concrete and remaining wood stump. Gives a solid result.
Excellent device. Saved a lot of tome digging out old post. Sturdy and strong enough to support replacement fencing

Bought online to collect incredibly easy. Haven’t installed as yet but they appear to be of a high quality and I’m sure they will do the job!

Good quality solid stake, needed 4, first Shop only had three but the one 5mins down the road had one so was pointed there by the staff in the first shop who checked stock to help.
Only gave the Spike a 4 star because with the way the tightening screws are placed 1 always obstructs a flat position on the Post you are repairing.
Always work at treat in repairing broken fence posts.
Didn't realise these existed until a fencer told me about them. This worked brilliantly going into the old fence hole, as long as the concrete base/slabs etc are sound. Mind you it really took some hammering in with a sledgehammer. Bonus is you can usually reuse the old fence post just be cutting the rotten bit off as it now doesn't need to be as long, and sits out the ground in this spike so won't rot now. Spike is pretty sturdy, hopefully it won't rust it's very thick steel and galvanised I think under the paint, but it would be a real difficulty to get it out. Certainly saved many hours though in digging out the old post, putting a new one in, cementing it and painting it
The spike did not come with any instructions but I now know to run a drill into two sides of the existing post stump to make the job easier. I cut a length of old fence post & inserted it into the spike & used a sledgehammer to drive it into place. The only problem was that I could not get the old piece out of the spike! I do not know how to easily do this.

Called in on a Friday for these two spikes ,unfortunately they only had one. I ordered the second one and was duly told it would be in next day on Saturday, and would be notified for colletion. However never heard anything even by the following Monday so tried to ring to find out where it was.Couldn't get through as there were 32 waiting. (Must be call centre NO HELP)So was left with no choice but go down without knowing if they had arrived.
Fortunately it had been on the side and i was told it had not been instructed to inform me of its arrival for colletion.
I expected allot better service than this and it delayed me on my job.
Not Happy...
This Drive-in Repair Spike design was ideal for my purpose. Not all designs had this one's benefits. Most have inner metal strips that make hammering in the post almost impossible, and if managed, getting out again for aligning is equally impossible. Also hammer sinking the spike into the ground needs a short removable section of post, not one that's top is five or six foot from away the ground. My job involved negotiation of a cemented in rusted old normal spike using masonry drills and chisels. I hope your job is easier!
