Wiser Drayton Smart Radiator Thermostat

Came quickly. Wiser valves are great. Each radiator can control the boiler.

No physical instructions, very difficult to pair with their hub, & a shortage of thread making it difficult to screw the TRV onto the radiator valve body. Be sure you want zonal time control before going down this route. It took 3 hours of professional plumber time & several days elapsed diy time to get the system up & running. Drayton’s telephone help line useful but it took several calls before one of their operatives put their finger on the problem.

Brilliant thermostats, got the all over the house and it's saved me a fortune not having to heat up unoccupied rooms

I had 4 wiser TRV and then I added 2 more just to be in more control of the individual room.

Senses room temperature accurately and operates as expected. Loses signal at the furthest rads from timetable time. Have purchased a booster socket and time will tell if this improves

Drayton Wiser Schneider is the best product in its range. Just one thing - this one cannot operate as a stand alone unit, you need to install the hub, which is a good thing as the valve can control the boiler, not just to open/close.

Easy to fit and works well with Wiser app, time will tell how reliable it is and whether it saves money on horrendous gas bills.....

Superb bit of kit, as is the whole Drayton Wiser system:-
Easy to use and setup.
Once connected uses own private network so needs no internet, or even router to function.
All visible and controllable in a mobile app.
The app shows live and historical info about each thermostat.
Good active forum.
Python API provided to access data about system, so if you like analysing/storing data it's possible.

The only negative is that there is no information available for the hub, like when it is requesting the boiler on/off

My fave heating system, easy to install and use. Monitor and change things in house or out over wifi. Compatible with Alexa.

I decided to instal a complete Wiser system to optimise my heating including the thermostats and programmer. The programmer communicates with the valves via its own radio signal and I found that some were out of range. I extended the range using their smart plugs and this solved the problem The system now works seamlessly, it is easy to program, easy to monitor and has been worth the cost of installing.

Great value wireless thermostat and a doddle to fit although it would get 5 stars if it was possible to stop it twisting when adjusting the temp (a tweak with some grips would help but the old TRV had notches to prevent turning). I fitted the Drayton Wiser hub myself when the old Heatmiser kit died (for the second time). The Hub's range isn't great in an old, stone-built house, so I needed a couple of adaptor/extender plugs to reach all corners but they're also relatively cheap and work well.

These valves were easy to install and seem to work well so far.

After looking at the likes of Nest, Hive and others I decided on Drayton Wiser as I felt it would be an easier replacement for my existing Drayton programmer and trv's. Also the reviews were good and there are loads of online info to help. Having installed the Wiser 2 kit plus additional trv's I am very impressed. Install and setup was easy and worked straightaway without any problems. We've only been using this for a few weeks but signs are we will show a saving on the gas bill. I highly recommend this product.
