Wiser Drayton Smart Multi-zone Kit Kit 1 & 2 Radiator Thermostats

A very impressive product, I installed this as a DIY upgrade to my combi boiler in order to replace an outdated Honeywell thermostat/control system linked to the boiler by a wireless Honeywell BDR91. The installation process was really easy and there is plenty of advice available online, the only element that required some additional clarification was the wiring of the standard backplate supplied for the Wiser Hub as this had to be wired in having removed the BDR91 unit. Connecting the hub to my WiFi network was simple and adding the Wiser Smart TRVs to the system was straightforward in the app. The level of control the system provides is excellent and scheduling your central heating is made far far easier than the old awkward Honeywell system it has replaced. The ability to dial in specific temperatures for each room is very useful. The insights page of the app provides real time analysis of the temperatures in rooms fitted with Wiser devices and this has proven really helpful in identifying areas where I can make improvements to help with keeping the heat in. Another bonus, no subscription costs unlike other systems on the market. This product has really improved our home and made the system far more efficient.

I have added wiser controls to the entire heating system. It is easy to physically change the TRVs and the hub and the app is clear and intuitive to set up and use. If required there are lots of helpful videos on set up you can access through the help button on the app.
I have set all room radiators to switch on and off at times that will warm the rooms when we want and it maintains rooms at the temperature we set.
No more remembering to go round the house switching radiators up and down, this is a great system to give you total control over your heating from your phone

I accidentally selected the wrong kit. I didn't try to fit the kit due to my wife being immuno -suppressed and the risk to her if the heating was off for an extended period. Recently the weather improved a bit so I got everything together to start the installation this point I realised I needed the more expensive, Kit2 not the Kit1. I spoke to Toolstation and explained my situation and that I needed return the kit and buy the more expensive one. They refused quoting their returns policy which has been reduced to two weeks. This review is about Toolstation customer service, not the Drayton product.

Really easy to install, takes minutes. The app takes a little longer to master, but it works really well

Product itself is very good. Delivery was on time. Instructons where missing - I think box had been opened, found them on internet. Raised this as an issue (not easy on your website) - lots of guff about customer satisfaction, not a lot of links to let you actually complain or raise an issue easily (IMHO).

You need a smart phone or, even better, an Apple tablet to make full use of all the functionality. But it has been a God send being able to operate numerous TRV independently. The thing that made me go for this was the distance of the wifi. Thick walls etc were overcome by the TRV and wiser plug.

Fitted oct 21 no problem apart from battery in 1 rad Tvr the odd drop out no problem system not changed with present cost of gas going up need to look at technology like this that is within the ability of diy ers have mor control of your heating bills
