Drayton TRV4 Classic Thermostatic Radiator Valve 15mm Angled

I haven’t had time to install the Drayton TRV4 valves yet but they are first class and I have no worries. Great price.

Moderising my TRVs as a replace older radiators and valves. This is my 3rd Drayton valve. Replaced because of their modern sleek design and reliability.

Replaced Altech TRV which are not as reliable or long lasting as these.

Replacement for existing thermostat which failed after 20 years.

Nice looking valve head but not robust and prone to thermal degradation leading to failure

Used many of these, perfect item and the top part can be replaced separately- they all degrade after years of use

Good quality valves but not alot of room in the valve body if replacing different valves so may need to replace existing tails nuts and olives which is good practice anyway.

I bought X4 of these TRV4's to replace some of the original valve heads on my Gas CH system .The original heads started to fail one by one after 7 years in service.
The common failure mode in my batch being the rotating part of the body comes loose and the temperature control head just falls apart. The chromed metal top appears to be a friction fit on the composite body. I think the continual temperature changes may cause the composite to degrade and metal top to stretch due to different coefficients of expansion .
