Drayton LP522 5/2 Day Programmer

I wanted something easy to use, And this is it. Simple to set up, one button override, perfect.

So far it's working ok, easy to fit and to programme

perfect replacement for the old Honeywell unit which failed

Drayton programmer LP522 is perfect for the job, as usual, this is the third unit we have had, over a period of 25 years.
Unfortunately, my wife collected the item, and was handed an opened box unit, not in its wrapper and the important link plug missing! Luckily, the link plug from the old unit fitted, so we were able to have the Central heating working again.
It wasn't convenient at the time to return the unit so we decided to keep it.
Something to be aware of in the future.

Bought as a replacement not used yet. Have proved reliable in the past.

This is one of the few programmers available for older system boilers with separate gravity feed to the HW cylinder. The big problem was that the 2 screws that fasten the unit to the mounting socket were locked with blue locking compound. These have to removed and run through a die and the nuts retapped before you can tighten them with a driver bit. Reprogramming is such a fiddle that it's best done with the unit removed so you can sit down with it in clear daylight

Great simple device, had one before and changed it out for a useless hive system. Changed back to this one and the heating and HW are working perfectly like they used to. Dead east to install with no wiring to change as the hive uses the same base plate

Reasonable price , in stock , collect same day. Fitted on old back plate so didn't even have to wire it. Easy to operate and worked straight away. Replaced a mechanical one which was ok , but this is easier to set for shorter time periods and quieter.

Decent timer that isn’t very expensive easy to fit

Fitted straight onto the standard backplate and got straight to work.

Purchased this item to replace a 30yr old honeywell timer. After a bit of research it would appear that reliability seems to be a common problem with these electronic devices regardless of manufactue. 18 months warranty doesn't say much either. Most modern electronics have several years warranty....
The device was easy to fit, even the mounting screw holes aligned with my old timer backplate so i only had the swap six wires in all. Lets see how long this one lasts

Decent timer, easy to install, possibly a little harder to change on/off settings unless you’re under 60

What can I say really? central heating timer to replace old lifestyle one, exact same backplate so no hassle at all to fit the new one, fitted within 20 minutes job done and at a fair price thank you toolstation for another good value purchase 👍🏼

I needed to replace a ten year old Honeywell ST6400C, I have installed several of these recently, they are good but don’t seem to last more than two years nowadays.
I read many reviews and decided on the Drayton LP522.
It was straight forward to install and programme and is very easy to use.
It is very early to evaluate but I do prefer it to the Honeywell.
