Excellent, worked perfectly. Very easy to use for non technical people
Good value and did the job require, ( re-seating hot and cold water taps) easy to use and results can be seen on the brass internal washer face.
Cleaned the tap seat just fine. No more dripping tap.
Works about as well as you would expect. Obviously it's a hand tool, so you are using it to manually grind down the tap seat. As a result, it sometimes needs a bit of elbow grease and perseverance to achieve the desired effect. However it is a lot easier than having to replace the whole tap.
This tool is only going to work on the old school washer based taps, so obviously check that beforehand. However it does come with different sized heads to cover a range of sizes.
It does the job quite easy and should last if looked after, only criticism is there are loose parts especially the small cutter, there is not enough room to store it in place on the shaft so has to be attached with wire/tape/zip tie so its not lost. Is that worth one star less, depends how you look after tools, if you throw them in your tool box youll probably loose it.
Bought this for a few diy jobs, cleaned up the washer seating area well with not too much effort
Very easy to use, versatile range of cutters and adaptors
Had a dripping tap in our rental property, tried a new washer but still had a slight drip. Purchased this and a few minutes work everything’s dry.
Did the intended job perfectly. The only annoyance is that the threaded end is only long enough to fit two of the cutters, so you end up needing to use a bag or similar for storage. Though this may be to prevent an issue when actually using the product.
Simple and effective why wouldn’t you seat a cartridge or valve properly
The Draper tap reseating tool comes with four different sized adaptors and three different sized grinding faces. It was cheaper at Toolstation than elsewhere - even online options. I would not get this tool for professional use as I am not sure how long the plastic components will last, but it is fine for the rare occasions that I have to change a tap cylinder in the house.
Excellent old school tool for traditional washer type taps
A good product at a good price. Accommodating most domestic taps. Excellent item to have in a home toolkit or for DIY or even professionals. It is effective for its purpose.
Ok, reasonable price. does the job but takes a lot of elbow grease.
Reseated my 50 year old taps,it took about 20 quarter turns pressing firmly with the palm of my hand. Never used one before and it worked perfectly, wish I had bought it years ago. Highly recommend.
Great product at a good price. Hard to find them in most plumbers merchants.
Great tool worked well made a good seat for the new tap washers i fitted.
Draper, Quality, Does the job, at a reasonable price
Well this tool did work in the end. I had three attempts before success. Firstly reamed 6x without success. Then tried 100x and finally around 200x before all drips stopped!. I had read previous reviews and two mentioned 300x. Perhaps a better design would allow the tool to fit a drill bit. Maybe I didn't use enough pressure?
Easy to use; adapts to nearly every tap you are likely to come across; good price.
The only improvement I would make is to provide a means of storing the smallest cutting head.
