Excellent tool for accurate markups at price. 2 tools for the price of one. So far used on a wooden bench with accurate joints achieved.

Needed to mark out many mortise and tenon joints, for me this is still the best way to produce accurate, tight joints, that means they will stay firm for many years to come.

Does the job. I forgot I didn’t have one when I decided to use a host of mortise and tenon joints for a design. This was an inexpensive route to save a change of design. Did the job.
I haven’t had an issue, screw and sliding mechanism work very well and feels very sturdy. Marks are made with ease and accuracy! Good value for money!

Not a joiner but seems well made.
I bought this quickly because I had to do some mortice and tenon joints and I could not find my original gauge. It does the job and is accurate once set with no problems at all. It did stick once but a little bees wax soon cured it. I wouldn't call it an "Expert mortice gauge" because it would need to be better constructed than it is, but it does the job, easy to set up and at ease to use.
Going old school with a bit if woodworking during lockdown. Havent needed one since doing woodwork at college, pleased to see they are the same and work just as well. The tenons ended prefectly and wothout thus would have been impossible. Well made with sharp pins and lock, look like theyll last longer than me. Thanks!

The simplest things are the best. I’ve owned one of these before, but not one with the additional two spikes. It made the job much easier and it help provide a good finish to my work.
