Brilliant little tool. Very useful for lots of different jobs. It gets into all the delicate areas that other sandets can’t get.
great product at a reasonable price.......................................................
Very good multi tool. Works perfectly for my woodwork
Started stripping a window frame with it straight away, lovely job at getting into nooks and crannies
This tool is really useful, not too heavy and the adjustable speed is good. Included accessories are good but the flexible drive broke on first use.
A handy tool, especially due to having the flexible extension. However, be aware that the cutting discs are too fragile and shatter worse than eggshell.
Does same job with same accessories as well known much more expensive brand. Very useful addition to the toolbox
I liked it, but appear to have had two from a bad batch. Toolstation’s assistance was exemplary throughout. (Thank you).
I use this kind of tool quite a lot. I do not load them heavily, but do use them for many hours. A battery type would not suit me. Most of my use is with a very small grindstone on fibreglass.
I have other tools including a Dewalt die grinder for heavier use.
I used an original type Dremel for decades, wore out more than one set of brushes; eventually the commutator fell apart.
By then the original type of Dremel were no longer available and reviews of the new types were mixed.
I have tried three types of mains powered Proxon; they are brilliant when new (totally smooth and almost silent at full speed) but quite soon become less refined. The motor bearings (at the far end from the chuck) failed on all three in little over a year. I got one repaired under warrantee, but it came back with the motor still rough so I didn’t bother with the others.
I thought that I would try a Draper. Cheaper, but not silly cheap, and a two year warrantee. I liked it as soon as I tried it. Not refined like the Proxons, and no electronic feedback, but a good solid no nonsense device. The first one would not start at the beginning of the second day, and the replacement ran really rough (like about to seize) after a week. I cannot believe that this is a normal experience so would not deter others from trying one.
I bought a Dremel 4250 from Toolstation instead. It is much less refined than the Proxons, especially at higher speeds, but OK so far.
Thank you Toolstation, and especially Karen, for advice and making everything so easy.
All good but it should come with a diamond cutting disc
The motor its self is good, the tools are very light duty, the slitting wheel broke by resting it on the table top. It is made for light duty modelling work not really DIY
Excellent tool with plenty of attachments and the included flexi-drive at this price is an added bonus
Easy to hold and compact enough to work around objects. A great fully equipped kit with excellent speed control.
Surprisingly weighty and solid build to this little rotary device. The flexible shaft really helps reach areas with limited access. If there were one drawback, it would be that the motor lacks torque at low speeds. I definitely recommend this rotary tool.
Only used once so far, works well. Only issue gets hot quick
Good reliable tool, good power, the flexi shaft can be a bit temperamental and get hot, but it worked fine.
The tool stopped after first trial, because of the fault in the manufacturing of the product
Bought this to do a couple of small jobs but a disaster. The cutting wheels are not robust and keep breaking up. The user manual gives speeds to use for various attachments from 1 to 6 however the tool has speed settings from 5 to 35 so assuming 5 is 1 in the manual 35 must be 7 but manual says 6 top speed! Can't return item as I have used it so total waste of money.
Great present for my mum to get crafty with! The extension takes the weight of her hands too!
Great bit of kit, the flex shaft has re improved my carving
Great value for money with the flexible attachment making it easy to get into small corners
