Dimplex Thermostatic Tubular Heater IPX4 4ft 160W

Received in box that was torn in half. Looked like it had been attacked by a pack of wolves!! Heater still worked and happy with it.

I have used several of these 3,4 and 6ft) mounted on window cills with a low setting to help stop condensation forming on large old double glazed windows when the temp drops overnight . The other option was relacing the DG window with a modern better insulated type which works well but expensive.
Dropped one star as the last one was Dead on Arrival, Could not feel the thermostat operating and no heat output. Dissappointing but Tool Station were very efficient replacing

We had two bedrooms with large old double glazed windows which suffered considerably from condensation overnight. The main bedroom we replaced the window with the latest acoustic/ insulated glass, expensive but works. As an experiment tried a 6ft heater sat on the window sill with the thermostat set quite low.It comes on overnight as the temperature drops and makes a significant difference, so far a positive result

Not sure what it is like on energy usuage yet but ti certainly gets hot

Quality heater that does the job to keep temperature in my Garden Room above the frost level - room temperature monotored by Max / Min Thermometer.

Good to start with but stopped working after two weeks,thermostat instructions say to get item to temperature and then turn thermostat until it clicks ,should then switch on and off when temperature reached,problem with that is the item is for a cold conservatory so cannot get it to warm to a reasonable temperature so basically the the thermostat is too basic would be better with a plug in thermostat so that you can see if temperature is improving

I read the varied Toolstation reviews, so I thought I would give it a chance and I bought this for my fully insulated garden office. Alas, it doesn't work. It emitted very little heat, so I had to return the item.

Excellent heater keeps hot and very fast. Very affordable

Installed at base of patio doors in dining room and controlled by smart timer switch. Used to deal with condensation forming in very cold weather and causing wet patches on floor. Only few hours of heating in early morning needed to stop problem. Excellent buy.

Manufacturer fault on the longer 6ft means it fails after a few months. Had a number of them and happened to all.

Works well easy to fit nice long cable with a pre done plug

Hope it last longer the the same one fitted about two years ago

Keeps my 3x5 garden office at around 6 degrees when it’s below 0 outside. Does what I need to prevent the room freezing.

Seems to do what is required, which is to maintain heat above freezing in our motor home through the winter to avoid damage to the boiler and pipes. Won’t really know until colder nights as only got down to 3deg so far. Monitoring ongoing.

Only good for background heat. Don’t think it’s for main heating
