Bought to replace a 120w tubular heater with digital timer that stopped working after 18 months. The Dimplex is a far better heater and the thermostat is a great feature. Used to warm a fully insulated 6 x 6 hobby shed. So far, very impressed.
Works well, used to heat a paint cabinet in the workshop.
Bought the Dimplex 3ft tubular heater for a room that is always chilly. Left on over winter time, it's an economical way of taking the chill off a room, helping reduce condensation and the resulting mould.
I would recommend this well-made product. Dimplex do longer tubular heaters with a higher wattage if you want more heat, but higher watts mean more electricity used.
If you are looking to quickly heat up a room to a higher temperature, then an oil-filled radiator may be more suitable for you, though not quite as energy efficient as low energy tubular heaters.
This was a fantastic solution to heating a small area to ambient temperatures.
Economical heater, good price and great for the space I needed to use it in. Gets to temperature required quickly. Easily turned up or down with thermostat. No problem ordering and lovely staff.
It was somewhat longer then 900mm so I had to return it. I'm sure it was otherwise brilliant
Didn’t get any notifications that it was at the depot. Only found out myself by tracking item.
Bought this Dimplex Thermostat Tube heater for a downstairs loo that is always cold as it is on the corner of the house. As soon as the radiator goes off the temp drops in that room so we thought we'd try this tube heater to provide a constant background heat.
We've had this tub heater plugged in for about a month (it plugs into a socket so we had to run it through a wall into a room next door).
It has been noticeably different in that room. We've not had v low temperatures but it is definitely making a difference so far.
Great heater, this is my second, sing to keep small areas warm. Toolstation were wonderful, very polite.
Works fairly well, bearing in mind its only intended to provide gentle background warmth. I use it as frost protection in my garage and it seems to just about provide sufficient heat for that. My main gripe is the thermostat, it has no scale or markings and the lowest it seems capable of being set at is about 10 degrees Centigrade which is too high if all you want is frost protection.
Very easy to fit and with built in thermostat ideal for where I was fitting heater
Great airing cupboard heater. Very Easy to install.
I have a few Dimplex heaters at home, a 20-year-old plinth heater, and a newer desk heater, both excellent quality and just work. The same can be said of this one. Heats up quickly (for a tube heater), thermostat works well and all of the mounting plastic is nice and thick. I think it'll last a long time
Simple, easy to use. Does what it says on the box and keeping our tortoise house nice and warm.
Easy to fit and works well in the conservatory to take the edge of the temperature first thing in the morning
It failed within a few weeks?!
Using this 3ft shlongalong for a garden summerhouse, 3m x 3m with 1 inch polystyrene insulation and plasterboard. Initially thought yes 100watt should be fine to stop giving free money away to those energy robbing you know what. Seems to keep the temp around 3 to 5 degrees warmer than outside temp. Still need the 2k wall heat to boost it. If anything it keeps my hands nice and warm when holding onto it. Don’t do that when it’s on full power though. 1 more will probably seal the deal.
