Bought this a couple of weeks ago and after a while it kept cutting out. Thankfully I kept the packaging and took it back only to be told it cannot be returned and it would have to be sent back to supplier for repair. This was not mentioned to me at point of purchased, was not noted on the receipt or invoice and is not noted anywhere on item description on website. I had already arranged an alternative petrol trimmer before I was told this. I purchased with credit card so will claim money back via them, I suggest anyone buying this do the same on case they come across the same issue.
Complete waste of money - no power unable to cut even thin hedge, unbalanced and unwieldy to use!
Really impressed with the quality and battery life. Already had a Stihl petrol hedge trimmer which is bomb-proof and was concerned about the quality of going cheaper and electric… It’s a bit floppy at the end, but if you take your time it’s really easy to use and I got great results. The extension pole is very useful as is the angle adjustment. I was swapping between this and the pole chainsaw and the batteries on both easily lasted all morning… so you can charge your spare quicker than draining the one in use! It’s obviously not as tough as a Stihl petrol trimmer, but it’s way better quality than cheap petrol multi-tools of the same price point… and I also think as comparable to the Stihl electric range… with the added benefit I already had all the batteries so could buy the bare kit.
I had my doubts about this hedge cutter obviously I use a lot of DeWalt tools and I cut a long hedge the battery life was good. The weight of the machine was good. I do actually take the little switch off when you have to switch it on but that was easy to snip it off with a pair of scissors which helps when you’re up high using it but absolutely amazing tool. I can’t fault it and I’ve had a lot of hedge cutters.
I found this hedge trimmer well balanced, fairly light and quick and easy to use. It doesn't have quite the same power as my petrol hedge trimmer, but is a lot less faff and much better balanced.
Definitely a handy trimmer to own I am a professional gardener and if a customer needs the odd shrub or small hedge trimmed no messing battery in and off you go
Have used for large hedges and dose the job no problem but stihl is definitely better suited for larger jobs
These shears are excellent for cutting high hedges, without the need for a ladder which is perfect for me (I’m 6 foot) makes cutting them safe as both feet on the ground! There are two issues, the first is annoying but acceptable as it’s the safety mechanism which can make using them difficult but accept this is a requirement for H&S reasons. The second issue is the end of the shears is blank, others I have used have a shear all the way to the end, so when cutting this means you have to ensure you reach higher than you need to, it’s very annoying but as the rest of the hedge trimmer is well made, battery life is good so I can live with it.
Brilliant razor sharp easy to use it, s Grrrreat! Just the right weight.
Good tool, but a little head heavy. 4 ah batteries last for aboit 20-25 mins
Great piece of kit - this will make trimming all my hedges a breeze! Easy to set up and plenty of power — and thanks to the strap it’s easy to handle!
good thing about the dewalt hedge trimmer is you can use your existing batteries , battery run time is ok does what you expect from dewalt can be a tad expensive but otherwise can't fault it
Unbalanced with a wobbly cutter. Could have paid a lot less for this poor quality.

easy to assemble and use. A little heavier than expected but balanced out with the support strap when using.
Not particularly strong and it has a lot of wobble. Would be certainly be handy for people doing their own gardens. However wouldn’t fair well with daily use.

Good cutting, not too heavy to hold. Reasonable reach despite not being extendable. However I have seen extension tubes for sale if you do need longer. Others have noted the flexing in the head. The articulating joint is very flexible in vertical direction but since you move laterally it is not a problem. Only 4 given because of this flexing.
Excellent product, works really well. Reasonable weight.
