I had been looking to get one of these for a number of years but wasn't sure whether I should be looking to get a better model and spend a bit more money. I have to say, I have not been disappointed - this drill is fantastic. It makes drilling into brick super-easy and I'm sure it will do well going through a lintel. I can definitely recommend this to DIYers.

Having previously borrowed a 36v Bosch SDS drill, I was expecting this 18v one to feel adequate and no more. It's proven itself to be extremely capable, blasting through a concrete floorslab with ease. Being somewhat lighter that it's 36v contempories, I found it easier to use with better control for chipping off that last piece of brick for that socket box. Sure, it gets through batteries, but so do the 36v drills. WIth a healthy stock of batteries on hand, this is a great piece of kit.

Great bit of kit but when I got home it was clear that the box had been opened, the battery attached and the bag stuffed in the corner of the box. So unsure if it was used or not I didn't return it as I had to get on with the job rather than another hour in the car to go back with it.

Bought this as a cordless SDS+, as getting too old to carry about my trusty 110v AEG PH26 and associated transformer. Delighted with how it performs as a hammer drill and pleasantly surprised at how good it is as a drill when using hole saws compared with my one handed drill driver. Also powerful enough when used as a paddle mixer for the odd bucket of plaster.
